Please consider a donation to a Medway Firefighters Local 4602 brother as they navigate this difficult time.
SECOND UPDATE: We are incredibly grateful to share that the surgery went well. She was discharged late yesterday and is resting and recovering with her family.
While this is an important step forward, this journey isn’t over. Doctors did identify another much smaller mass in a different location that will require ongoing monitoring. At this time, it is very small, and the focus remains on healing and recovery.
Thank you all for the continued generosity, prayers, and support—you’ve carried this family through some very difficult days, and it means more than words can express.

We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming generosity shown by our community. From financial donations to heartfelt messages, prayers, and offers of support, the outpouring of kindness has been truly humbling. The Tracy family has felt every bit of that love during this difficult time.
We are also proud to share an important update. Our fundraiser has been selected to be carried forward by the PFFM Foundation, a nonprofit organization. This is a significant milestone, as the foundation will cover all GoFundMe-related fees and ensure there are no tax implications for the Tracy family. This means that 100% of your generous donations will go directly to supporting them.
To allow this transition to take place, we will be temporarily pausing this GoFundMe. The PFFM Foundation will be launching a new fundraiser through their official fundraising platform on Monday.
Thank you again for standing with the Tracy family. Your compassion, generosity, and continued support mean more than words can express. We will share the new fundraising link as soon as it is live.

Emergency calls are never easy, but they carry a different weight when they involve someone we call family.
Earlier this week, the wife of a fellow Medway firefighter, experienced a sudden medical emergency and was transported by our ambulance crew to Milford Hospital. After further evaluation, she was transferred a few hours later to UMass Hospital, where doctors identified a mass in her brain. While the mass is presumed to be benign, definitive answers will not be known until surgery, which is taking place this morning.
Regardless of the outcome, she is expected to face a significant recovery and will be out of work for quite some time. This is an incredibly frightening and uncertain moment for the Tracy family as they navigate this situation while caring for their three young children. Between time away from work, travel between hospitals, medical expenses, and the emotional toll, the burden is heavy.
The fire service is built on taking care of our own — not just on the fireground, but in moments like this. This fundraiser is intended to help ease some of the financial strain so Katie and Brian can focus on what matters most: her recovery and being together as a family.
Any donation, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. The link to their GoFundMe is below. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page and keeping the Tracy family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for standing with them during this difficult time.
