The SMART Group recently gathered in Indianapolis for a packed and productive meeting! This session included a special plant tour at Plymate—something not typically part of SMART Group meetings, but a great opportunity since we were nearby. A big thank-you to the Plymate team for generously welcoming the group into their plant!

We were also joined by Beth Maynard of Sales Gravy for a dynamic sales training session, where we explored the use of AI, tackled current industry challenges, and shared actionable strategies.

The meeting wrapped with our signature Best Ideas and Critical Issues session and a networking dinner at the iconic St. Elmo’s.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to the companies who continue to invest in their teams. Last week, we had a fantastic experience at the Service Institute Level 1 & Level 2 training in Kansas City, MO, in partnership with Performance Matters!

Our attendees delved into critical topics designed to enhance their skills in service management, including:

- The difference between leadership and management, helping them transition from peers to effective managers.

- Techniques for providing effective feedback and handling customer questions with confidence.

- Best practices for route safety and effective communication during daily check-ins and service meetings.

- SMART goal-setting to drive successful outcomes in their roles.

For those who have completed Level 1, Level 2 focused on advanced topics like interviewing techniques, account management basics, and mastering leadership skills.

We’re excited to announce that the next training sessions will take place in New Jersey this September! Stay tuned for more details, and let’s continue to elevate our service teams together!
