Mindful Movement Therapy

Mindful Movement Therapy Specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. Offering individual & family therapy. However, you have found me, I am excited to start this journey together!

Mindful + Movement
Being in the presence of your life means being conscious - being aware of your thoughts, emotions, choices, and body sensations - but in an intentional, present kind of way. It means choosing your path mindfully and knowing that healing is not linear. It’s having an awareness that any conscious movement no matter how small, it is movement bringing you closer to transmuting what no longer serves you. It’s the micromovements that allow us to move more comfortably through the healing journey and I am here to help you gracefully do this with empathy, compassion, and a knowing that alignment between body, mind, and soul helps us to become our most authentic self. As a clinical therapist, I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, athletes with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, women's health, and grief. At Mindful Movement, I offer individual and family sessions tailoring treatment to the unique needs of the client & family. In addition to the clinical practices at Mindful Movement, I also offer Life Coaching and Reiki sessions to those clients interested and can learn more on my website. The somatic approach to working with my clients energizes me most and so, if you are someone wanting to explore the mind + body + soul connection, we may be a good fit to working together. Along with my passion to working with clients, I am also a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist - Consultant who is passionate about supervising, consulting, and educating other therapists, medical offices, and/or other allied health professionals about eating disorders.

❄️Welcoming the Final Month of the Year ❄️

As we step into the last month of the year, take a moment to pause. Breathe. Notice what this season brings up for you: relief, overwhelm, gratitude, grief, hope… or all of the above. December often invites us into reflection, not as a demand to “fix” ourselves, but as a gentle opportunity to check in with our inner landscape.

Before the rush toward resolutions or reinvention, consider this:

You don’t need to become a new person in the new year. You’re allowed to simply continue becoming yourself.

So ask yourself with honesty and compassion:

✨What remains on your 2025 heart that still needs healing?

✨What wounds are quietly asking for attention instead of avoidance?

✨What relationships, including the one with yourself, feel ready for repair or softening?

✨ What parts of you are longing for rest, closure, or clarity before you turn the page?

Your intentions for the new year don’t have to be grand. They can be soft, steady, and deeply personal. Maybe your intention is to learn to say “no” without guilt. Maybe it’s to rebuild trust in yourself. To reconnect with joy. To grieve something you’ve been holding alone. To allow love back in. To practice gentleness.

This month, may you find room to honor both what you’ve survived and what you’re still stepping toward. Healing isn’t rushed. Growth isn’t linear. And you are allowed to move into the new year at your own pace.💖

🌟 Day 3 of Brainspotting Training: Feeling Grateful and Empowered 🌟

Healing truly begins with the therapist. Before we can guide our clients on their healing journey, we must first heal and ground ourselves. These past few days of Brainspotting training have been nothing short of transformative. I’ve learned, practiced, and integrated so much already, and I can already feel the shifts within myself.

The power of this work is undeniable, and I’m so excited to bring this “home” to my practice. Ready to help others heal in even deeper ways.💫

The journey continues, and I can’t wait to see where this path leads!

🌿 When life feels heavy, nature has a way of calling us back home.

In moments of stress, overwhelm, or disconnection, stepping outside—even for a few minutes—can shift our entire nervous system. Grounding your feet to the earth, feeling the warmth of the sun, or simply noticing the breeze on your skin invites your body back into safety and presence.

✨ Sunlight regulates our mood and restores our internal rhythms.
✨ Earth energy anchors us when our minds feel scattered.
✨ Quiet spaces away from routine help reset our nervous system.
✨ Beauty in nature reminds us that growth, change, and rest all have a place.

When we intentionally unplug and reconnect with the world around us, we make space to recharge, rebuild, and return to ourselves.

If you haven’t today, take a moment—step outside, breathe deeply, notice something beautiful, and let nature support your healing. 💛

Taking a moment for self-reflection isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about checking in with yourself honestly, gently, and without judgment.
When life feels loud, overwhelming, or uncertain, coming back to yourself with simple questions can help create clarity, calm, and connection.
Here are 5 questions to help you pause, reflect, and reconnect today:
1    How am I feeling right now?
2    What does my body need?
3    What does my mind need?
4    What emotion am I avoiding?
5    What can I do for myself in the next 10 minutes?
You deserve moments of stillness, even in chaos. You deserve the space to listen to yourself. 💛
Save this post for the next time you need a gentle reset.

November is Men’s Mental Health Month 💙

So many men are fighting battles no one sees. They smile, they show up, they push through but inside, they’re carrying the weight of the world.

We’ve been taught that silence is strength. That real men don’t cry. That asking for help is weakness.
But that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Silence is not being strong.
Strength is opening up.
Strength is saying, “I’m not okay.”
Strength is choosing to stay, to heal, to reach out.

This month, let’s talk. Let’s listen. Let’s remind every man we know that their feelings matter, their voice matters, and their life matters. 🖤

Happy Fall 🍁

We’re excited to invite you to an upcoming workshop on November 8th, designed to help you deepen your healing journey through the power of art. This unique experience will be guided by Yuli Iniguez, MS, LPC-IT, ART-P, who will lead the group through a mindful and creative process that supports emotional expression, mind–body connection, and inner growth.

This workshop is a beautiful opportunity to slow down, tune in, and let your creativity lead the way. Whether you’re seeking personal healing, looking to reconnect with yourself, or simply wanting to explore art in a meaningful way, this space is for you. If you are a therapist and believe this might be a good introduction to art therapy for a client to deepen their healing, please consider sharing. You don't need to be in therapy, be a therapist, or be a client to attend....this workshop is open to all!

Feel free to invite a friend to join you—or come on your own and connect with others in a supportive, community-based setting. All are welcome to share in this powerful experience.

Friday Self-Care Reminder: 💖

Self-care isn’t always about bubble baths, massages, or getting your nails painted.
Sometimes it’s eating the snack your mind tells you not to,
turning off your food tracking app,
or letting yourself rest when your body is tired.

In recovery, self-care means honoring your body’s cues — even when it feels hard.
Today, give yourself permission to listen and respond with kindness. ✨💖✨

✨ Friday Self-Care Reminder ✨
You don’t need to “earn” rest, food, or joy this weekend.
Let yourself exhale, eat what sounds good, and move in ways that feel nurturing — not punishing.
Recovery isn’t about perfection; it’s about compassion. 💛
