This is Abigail Yoder, a high school junior who you might have seen in the office this past week. â˜ș

She is currently in a health science club called HOSA, which works to give students experience and education in the global health community.

Abigail has wanted to be a midwife since she was ten years old, so she was so excited when she got the opportunity to shadow Lauren at the clinic.

From Abigail:
“Lauren was my mom’s midwife for my youngest two siblings, and I was able to be there for both births. When I was ten years old, I was even able to catch my sister as she was born! Ever since then I have wanted to be a midwife. I’ve had the best time shadowing Lauren, and I am so grateful for all that I’m learning from her!”

Abigail will be back in clinic on Friday, Jan. 2, so be sure to say hey if you’re in the office that day! đŸ€—

As we head into the holidays, our clinic will be closed on December 24th, December 25th, December 31st, and January 1st.

For our current birth clients, our on-call midwife will remain available for labor and urgent needs, as always.

We’re looking forward to a few days of rest and time with our families, and we hope you’re able to slow down and close out the year with peace.
