Insurance and therapy… it can feel a little confusing sometimes. We get it! 💙

That’s why we created a simple guide to help families better understand how insurance works at Associates in Pediatric Therapy.

In our latest blog, we walk through things like:
✔️ What insurance plans we accept
✔️ Understanding the basics of coverage
✔️ Visit limits and plan years
✔️ What happens if something isn’t covered

Our goal is always to make the process as clear and stress-free as possible so families can focus on what matters most — their child’s growth and progress. 🌟

Take a few minutes to check out the blog and learn more!

POV: You think he’s just bouncing… 🏀✨

But this is skill-building in motion.

While he’s holding that handle and having the BEST time, we’re working on:

🏀 Core strength
🏀 Balance + stability
🏀 Grip strength
🏀 Body awareness
🏀 Listening + ABA goals

“Ready, set, go.”
“More!”
“Freeze!”

That strong handle grip?
Helping build hands for writing, cutting, and everyday tasks.

Fun? Absolutely.
Intentional? Always.

Try it at home:

🏀 Hopper or yoga ball (with supervision)
🏀 Add “freeze” or simple directions
🏀 Practice holding on tight for short bursts

Big bounce energy. Big developmental wins. 💙

Plot twist:
This isn’t “just coloring.” ✨🖍️

While those markers are hard at work, so are these skills:

🖍️ Fine motor strength
🖍️ Hand-eye coordination
🖍️ Bilateral coordination (one hand holds, one hand colors)
🖍️ Pencil grasp development
🖍️ Focus + attention

Those little hands?
Training for handwriting, cutting, buttoning, and classroom confidence.

Want to level it up at home?

🖍️ Tape paper to the wall and color standing up
🖍️ Trace shapes or their name
🖍️ Color inside big spaces… then make them smaller
🖍️ Try “tiny detail” challenges for extra control

Markers.
Focus.
Big developmental wins. 💙

✨ The spinny sit-in toy of greatness. ✨

It looks like we’re just going in circles…
But development is working overtime.

While they’re spinning, we’re building:

🌀 Balance + coordination
🌀 Core strength
🌀 Body awareness
🌀 Spatial awareness (“which way am I facing?!”)
🌀 Sensory regulation

Spinning activates the vestibular system — which helps kids feel organized, balanced, and ready to focus.

Sometimes you have to spin it out… to calm it down.

No spin toy at home? Try this:

🌀 Slow spins in an office chair (supervised!)
🌀 Log rolls across the floor
🌀 Sit on a blanket and parent gently rotates
🌀 Ring Around the Rosie (but make it therapy)

Pro tip: After spinning, add deep pressure (big hugs, wall push-ups) to help the body reset.
Controlled spins. Big gains. 💙

Save this for later or tag a parent whose child is always spinning. 🌀

Our buddy Calvin had one BIG mission when he walked in…

He couldn’t wait to show Mr. Evan his brand-new hairstyle 😎✨

The smile. The confidence. The “do you see this?!” moment. We are here for it ALL.

Calvin, you are looking SUPER cool, and we love getting to celebrate these little (but actually big) moments with you. 💙

Nothing better than kids feeling proud and excited to share their wins with their therapists. That’s what it’s all about.

Growing the next generation of therapists is part of our mission 💙

Last year, we proudly collaborated with 27 colleges and universities to provide graduate students with meaningful field study and internship experiences in pediatric therapy.

Our clinicians love mentoring, teaching, and helping students bridge the gap between the classroom and real-life clinical care.

Universities interested in partnering with us or students looking for placements — we would love to connect!

Alright parents… tonight’s therapy tool?

A balloon. 🎈

No batteries.
No assembly.
No “where are the instructions?”

Just air… and developmental gains.

Here’s what’s secretly happening while your child yells “DON’T LET IT TOUCH THE FLOOR!”:

🎈 Hand-eye coordination
🎈 Core & shoulder strength
🎈 Motor planning
🎈 Turn-taking
🎈 Speech practice (“my turn!” “again!” “up!”)

Reaching, twisting, jumping, diving across the living room like it’s the championship game… all building foundations for handwriting, classroom sitting, and social skills.

And if it hits the ceiling fan?

That’s just surprise problem-solving training.

One balloon.
Zero prep.
Big therapy benefits. 💙

Save this for later or tag a parent who needs a 5-minute activity tonight. 🎈

🧱 Building skills one block at a time!

Playtime with blocks in speech therapy isn’t just fun—it’s full of learning opportunities. Stacking and rebuilding helps children practice turn-taking, patience, and problem-solving when things topple over. It’s also a great way to work on language skills, like naming colors and shapes.

Every block stacked is a small win—and every tumble is a chance to try again and grow! 💙

✨ Question for you: What’s your child’s favorite way to play with blocks?

What you see:
A colorful fish bowl and big smiles. 🐠💙

What’s actually happening:
✔ Color recognition
✔ Matching skills
✔ Fine motor coordination
✔ Turn-taking
✔ Following directions

Play? Yes.
Intentional skill-building? Always.

Try it at home:
Sort toys by color or play simple “find the blue one!” games.

Fun first. Skills always. 💙
