In honor of Nashville’s rogue zebra, Ed, BSL NASHVILLE made this week a celebration of Ed! From an Ed honoring backdrop, to Ed honoring clothing, to Ed honoring cupcakes, to clay Ed making competitions, to Ed’s great adventures with us, followed by our little Ed finding a new home in NY with his adoptive mom Nikki, the great shenanigans of Ed kept up laughing all week! Charity Baroni who has danced with & and who has choreographed for Artists like Taylor Swift donated her time to teach our crew at BSL NASHVILLE how to get in touch with their inner selves and their bodies. She taught them to move like country artists, bounce like hip hop artists, and torque like pop artists. The group left empowered, entertained, and inspired! Thank you for taking the time to raise up this group of Performance Sign Language Interpreters in training and help them soar in their developing skills! You are appreciated!

BSL NASHVILLE: At BSLN we study tech… what to ask for, who to ask… what to say… what not to say… what to do… what not to do… etc. This amazing man joined us from the road! Meet Fred Yanda a Stage Manager (and sometimes carpenter) for groups like and . He helped walk our interpreters through the gear, crew interaction, etc. The participants took a million notes and left with their heads full of useful info. Within a week we saw people using the info on a Beyoncé concert, and it worked! Thanks to Fred for his time and his effort to make the world more accessible for the Deaf, and to make live events flow more smoothly for the people that service audiences with hearing loss and fans of sign language.
