Dood graduated from rehab!!!!! Dood is another one of our surgical “partner” dogs with our local shelter, WCAC!! This partnership is a bit different than Clyde’s (who got adopted over Christmas and we will update that soon!!!). Friends of WCAC paid for his surgery, we took him in foster care and paid for his rehab and now in a few weeks he’ll be headed to our rescue friends Animal Farm Foundation who specialize in Pittie rescue and advocacy for the breed. We love it when we get a chance to work with Pitties in this way. Great connections to amazing homes. Teams work at its best working hard for Dood!!! Thanks to Animalia Rehab for loving this guy and working so hard to make that hip the best it could be after injury and surgery to repair.

As 2025 comes to a close, we find ourselves pausing between appointments to take it all in.

This year was filled with small victories that meant everything: the first pain-free steps after surgery, the moment a fearful patient relaxed into trust, the day a family cried happy tears as they watched their pet run again. In rehabilitation, progress isn’t always loud or fast, but it is deeply meaningful. We’re endlessly grateful to our patients, who showed us resilience in every stretch and hydrotherapy session. To the families who believed in the process, showed up consistently, and celebrated every inch forward with us - thank you for your patience and partnership. And to our team, whose compassion, skill, and teamwork turned hard days into hopeful ones: your dedication is the heartbeat of this clinic.

2025 reminded us why we do this work. Healing isn’t just physical; it’s emotional, relational, and built on trust. It lives in the quiet encouragement, the gentle hands, and the shared commitment to giving every animal the best quality of life possible. Here’s to continued healing, stronger bonds, and many more milestones, big and small.

Dood is a straight A student….he would be ashamed to come home from PT with a bad report card because he is grateful for the opportunity that has been given his hip….and his life!!!

Please join us in saying goodbye to Stephanie, one of our beloved therapists! 😭 Stephanie is off to new adventures in Georgia, but we sure are going to miss her. She’s given SO much to this team and our patients over the last 3 years - compassion, patience, smiles, laughs, and over 40 years of veterinary knowledge! Rehab simply won’t be the same without her (and her seasonal decor)! Stephanie, we love you and are going to miss you BIG! 💕
