Time to say hello to Mandy! 👋

Mandy brings her whole heart to her life, her practice and her teaching. Keep reading to hear more about Mandy in her own words.

Q. How would you describe your teaching style in 3 words?

A. Approachable, Dynamic, Nurturing

Q. What do you hope students take away from your classes?

A. I hope students leave my classes feeling confident, strong, rested, more connected to their body, mind, the present moment and the community around us. Yoga is union!

Q. Complete this sentence… Yoga has taught me …

A. Yoga has taught me how to take a deep breath, to love my body just as it is, to be in the moment and to get out of my head.

Q. What do you love to do outside of yoga?

A. Outside of yoga I love being with my family, husband Rich and our 3 sons- keeping up with young adult/college/high school years, cheering on our youngest at baseball and football. Dog mom to 120 lb Lab-Saint mix, River.
Spending time with friends, deep conversations, the outdoors, traveling, good food, good wine, obsessed with tea and always reading. 💜

She teaches Move & Meditate on Tuesdays at 10:30. Come join her at the studio for a lovely way to experience union!

Why do we keep putting the emphasis on community at New Moon??

Because we believe this community is sangha.

‘Sangha means gathering, where everyone comes together, but they don’t come to gossip or chit-chat. They come together to share something deeper that they have inside of them.’ - Paramahamsa Vishwananda.

Although, we do in fact chit chat a bit as well bc we support and uplift each other along the way in this journey of yoga and life.

But it is the something deeper that unifies us.

Our beloved Holly has been a part of Franklin’s yoga community for a long time and we are so lucky to have her at New Moon!

The experience Holly brings to her flows is inspiring and when she invokes class through chanting, you can’t help but feel the depth as well.

Here’s a little more about her teaching and what else she enjoys in life:

❔How would you describe your teaching style in three words? 
A: Deliberate, experiencial, breath-focused

❔What do you hope students take away from your classes?   
A: How to breathe and how this can support us well beyond an hour class. 

❔What has Yoga taught me? 
A: I could write a book to answer this question but the one thing that stands out the most is the importance of belief. 

❔What do you love to do outside of yoga? 
A: Spend time with my husband, two sons and our two dogs.  I love watching sports, hiking, long walks with friends, deep conversations, reading, spending time in nature, listening to music, chilling. ..

🤍 Trauma Sensitive Yoga Class

Details about the class below 👇

The practice of yoga has been shown to help heal the kind of mind/body disconnection that happens from Trauma. The Trauma Sensitive Yoga class taught by Yoga Therapist Kate Moyer will be an opportunity for people to experience healing for their minds and their bodies on their own terms and at their own pace. 

The intention of the class will be to create opportunities to bring present moment awareness to the physical sensations in the body, the thought patterns of the mind, and the internal emotional weather systems by simply noticing and learning how to be with our direct experience. 

The class will include gentle mindful movement and stretching, restorative yoga postures, relaxation techniques, and moments of self-inquiry and self-reflection through meditation or journaling. 

This class will encourage students to listen to their bodies, focusing on the power of choice. Kate will use invitational language when suggesting movements or practices to help remind the students to choose what feels right for their bodies in the moment and to become curious about the process and practice of self-care. Mindfulness-focused questions will also be posed throughout the practice for self-inquiry so students can feel, notice, and reconnect to their bodies in a slow and gentle way.

No experience necessary as this class will be beginner-friendly.

Get to know Nuha and Hala 👯‍♀️

This dynamic duo is such a fun and powerful part of our community. They have an incredible personal story and deep love for yoga that can be felt in each class and soundbath they offer.

Here they are in their own words:

1. How would you describe your teaching style in three words?
✨ Dynamic. Fluid. Empowering.
Our classes blend power and grace, helping our students tap into strength while flowing with intention.



2. What do you hope students take away from your classes?
We hope our students leave feeling recharged, strong, and centered, ready to face anything life brings with clarity and confidence. 💪🌿



3. Complete the sentence, “Yoga has taught me…”
Yoga has taught us to be fully present, to move with breath, to listen inward, and to trust the connection between mind, body, and soul. 🧘‍♀️💫



4. What do you love to do outside of yoga?
When we’re not on the mat, we’re playing sound bath instruments, paddleboarding, reading, spending time with loved ones… and yes, a little shopping too! 🛍🌊📚💖

She is opening up and sharing a few things about life on and off the mat. Anne-Marie adores this community deeply - it’s one of the things that inspires her most. Keep reading to learn more about her.

Q. How would you describe your teaching style in 3 words?
 
A. Intentional – mindful – connected
 
Q. What do you hope students take away from your classes?
 
A. I hope students leave feeling connected - to their bodies, their breath, their heart.. and to one another. The practice truly is about connection and I always hope that the stillness and mindfulness we connect with helps bring us all closer to that steady place of knowing.
 
Q. Complete this sentence… Yoga has taught me …

A. To always remain curious. I’ve learned that discomfort and change are not signs to stop but are invitations to turn inward, pause and refocus. This practice continues to reveal habits and patterns and all the places I resist. It’s helped me grow not by avoiding what is difficult but learning to meet it with awareness and grace.
 
Q. What do you love to do outside of yoga?
 
A. When I’m not on my mat, I’m usually in nature- I love hiking, biking, just being outdoors, reading, listening to music, podcasts, on an adventure with my husband, drinking coffee, playing with our dogs, chatting with our family. I love finding and making connections with people who remind me what life is all about – good conversation & lots of laughter.

Somatic work helps to bring connection and grounding to the body. This workshop will offer an approach to movement while blending somatic awareness with a traditional yoga practice.

Through slow, mindful sequences, breathwork and guided exploration of specific yoga poses, you will deepen the connection to the body while releasing tension; and also may uncover any habitual patterns the may be holding unwanted space both physically and emotionally.

Somatic yoga supports nervous system regulation and creates emotional balance. We invite you to slow down, listen inward and reconnect with your body, mind and spirit.
