Life Journey Yoga

Life Journey Yoga At Life Journey Yoga, we explore yoga as a path of connection to self, others, and spirit. I was doing everything for everyone else and nothing for myself.

Our vinyasa & yin classes weave mantra, asana, pranayama, mudra, meditation & philosophy. Rooted in community, guided by spirit a sanctuary to move, breathe & grow. I began my yoga practice in 2013 as an overwhelmed, stressed out mom who felt like I didn’t know if I was coming or going. I was out of shape and needed to shed a few pounds. Through my yoga practice I was learning to quiet my own monkey mind and put myself back on the list for a change. The more I practiced the better I felt. I was much more relaxed and focused. Not that I don’t still get stressed, I do but now I have some tools in my toolbox to turn to for help. That is when I decided to deepen my practice by becoming a certified yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher certification training May 2017 through Practice Indie in Indianapolis. I see yoga as a tool for mindful and intentional living, as well as a way to tap into your most vibrant loving self and awaken the light within. My classes focus on creating a space for students’ self- acceptance, inward reflection, and self-discovery. I continue to practice and learn daily. I’m excited to help others in their journey towards inner peace through their own yoga practice. Together we can change the world one breath at a time. Anyone Can Practice Yoga

You need not think, “I have all these bad habits-smoking, drinking, eating meat—so I am unfit for practicing Yoga.” Even with all these habits, if you start Yoga, you can slowly get out of the unhealthy habits. Sometimes people ask me, “Should I stop smoking, should I stop drinking before I come to practice Yoga?” I say, “No, it is not necessary.” If I say, “Yes, you must stop before you come to Yoga,” it's like a doctor asking you to get rid of all your diseases before you take the medicine. So nobody is disqualified from Yoga practice. The great scripture of Yoga, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, says, “Be one young, old, sick or very sick, if one practices Yoga, one will become healthy and happy.”

✨ Pink Full Moon Yoga & Fire Ceremony ✨

Join us for a beautiful evening of movement, reflection, and community under the energy of the Pink Full Moon.

We’ll begin with a gentle, heart-opening yoga practice and moon salutations to honor this powerful lunar cycle. Followed by meditation, reflection and journaling. From there we’ll gather around the fire for a sacred release ceremony—letting go of what no longer serves and calling in fresh intentions for the season ahead.

The Pink Full Moon in April symbolizes renewal, growth, and new beginnings—making this the perfect time to reconnect with yourself and the rhythms of nature.

The Golden Present

You Will Only See Beauty

Judging others is an act of the ego; it’s a kind of arrogance. It means that you think you’re a great person and all the others are fools. Others may have a problem, but to judge them means that you have at least one kind of problem yourself, the problem of constantly criticizing people. You are actually no different from them. Before you see a mote in their eyes, see the beam in your own eye.

The vulture flies so high, higher than many birds. It can see far and wide. But where will its eyes be? On a dead and decayed body somewhere. It soars beautifully and high; but it doesn’t cast its eyes on good, holy things, only on decayed matter. An ordinary fly looks for filthy matter to sit on, while a honeybee will fly past many other things to look for even a little bit of nectar on a flower.
You see certain things in others because you have the eye to see it. If you have a beautiful eye, you will see only beauty. Know that everyone has some sort of weakness. A person who doesn’t have any weakness at all won’t even be on this earth.
Don’t have the kind of eye that finds faults in others. Be humble and correct your own problems.
