A huge thank you to Ann-Marie Holland Byrd for inviting us to the Franklin/Southampton Co. Wellness Coalition Meeting!

While the little ones played, I had the opportunity to hear from and connect with local leaders working hard to make a difference in our community.

We heard from Elite Family Services in Downtown Franklin, an organization dedicated to supporting those on their journey to sobriety and recovery.

Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia shared their iDrive program, which provides transportation assistance for veterans in need.

I also had the chance to connect with a member of the Western Tidewater Community Services Board, as well as someone from Youth Earn and Learn Jobs-for-Kids, an incredible program focused on keeping kids off the streets while helping them become the next generation of leaders, CEOs, and entrepreneurs. I’m so excited to connect further and help kids find mentors in our community!

I’m sure I missed a few amazing organizations 😩, but it was truly inspiring to meet so many people committed to helping those in need and improving our community. Looking forward to being part of this work!
