How long have you been a student at NSMT? Long Enough… Oct ‘24

What is your favorite food? Pizza, Steak, & Bacon

Why did you choose Nashville School of Massage Therapy? I thought the program was amazing & the scholarship program is absolutely worth it.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in Massage Therapy? I had so many doors slammed to my face as an Esthetician. I love what I do & I love working with my hands & I want to develop a skill where I can use the knowledge that I learned in school & apply it to my career.
To also stroke my own ego, I want to be a valuable & irreplaceable employee that many establishments will beg to have me as their employee.

What is your favorite movie? Goodfellas

Describe NSMT in one word. Advocating

What is your favorite thing about NSMT? How the staff would bend over backwards for their students & my fellow crazy classmates.

Who is your favorite band/music artist? To narrow down to Top 3; it’s Lacey Sturm, Avril Lavigne, & Dolly Parton

When did you first become interested in a career in Massage Therapy? A very dear esthetician mentor of mine taught me how to incorporate massage in our facial routine. She inspired the idea of pursuing massage therapy & become a double licensed therapist.

What are your plans after you graduate? Make money & find a husband to financially support me and my pug, Pumpernickel. LOL

What do you like to do in your spare time? Be a Pug Mom, be with my family, art-therapy, loving nature, & other country hooligan shenanigans.

St Jude Rock 'n' Roll Running Series -

Tennessee’s largest massage event of the year is happening Saturday April 26th, 2025 at the Rock’n’Roll Nashville Marathon. You are invited to volunteer for the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, get VIP access to the event and receive free CEU’s for post race table and chair massage.

Meet our February Student of The Month Christian!

Nominations: He has come along way in intro week and great during lab; He is consistently kind and respectfully to everyone, encouraging to his classmates, and works hard to learn the material. I think he’ll be a great LMT. He is a genuine man with the lightest energy and he brings light and peace to the environment. Smart as well.

Where are you from? Antioch, TN

How long have you been a student at NSMT? I started in December so I have been a student for 3 months going on 4

What is your favorite food? I’m going to go with Soul Food

Why did you choose Nashville School of Massage Therapy? I chose this massage school because a close friend of mine recently completed the program and had a great experience. Hearing about the quality of the education, the hands-on training, and the supportive environment made me feel confident that this was the right place for me.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in Massage Therapy? I chose to pursue a career in massage therapy because a close friend suggested I’d be a good fit for the field. At the time, I was in a phase where I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do career-wise, and his encouragement helped me explore something I might not have considered on my own.

What is your favorite movie? The Pursuit of Happiness

Describe NSMT in one word. If I had to describe my school in one word, it would be ‘amazing’ because the instructors are caring, the environment is supportive, and the program is truly helpful in preparing us for our careers.

What is your favorite thing about NSMT? My favorite thing about NSMT is how helpful and supportive everyone is. Over the six months we’re together, we really become like a little family, which makes the learning experience even more special.

Who is your favorite band/music artist? Hard question, I love music but recently Drama Duo

When did you first become interested in a career in Massage Therapy? I first became interested in massage therapy when a friend told me he thought I would be great at it. That got me thinking, and as I learned more, I saw how healing massage therapy can be and the big impact therapists have on people’s well-being. That really inspired me to pursue this career.

What are your plans after you graduate? After I graduate, I’ll be working with Massage Envy for a year through their program. But my long-term goal is to open businesses with my peers who are also licensed massage therapists. I’m excited to build something of our own and create a space where we can offer quality care to clients.

What do you like to do in your spare time? I love spending time with family and friends, also playing basketball/sports being active.
