✨ Congrats to our six new Mentor Therapists! ✨

This amazing group just spent over 6 hours diving into the FABS training process and learning how to best support our incoming therapists. The mentor role is definitely not for the faint of heart (especially after our recent mentor training overhaul!), and I am so excited to see how each of them flourish in this role.

A huge thank you to Nathan, Sarah, Ashley, Karen, Ashlie, and Damon for being insightful, attentive, and willing to put up with me during training. You’re going to make such a difference for our new hires!

Also, special shoutout to ChatGPT for helping me wrangle all six of them into one photo—no small feat! I'm not sure that this actually looks like any of them, however!

FABS is OK. 💜💚

As some of you may have seen, there was a tragic fire at the building next door to us. We are extremely grateful that our own building is intact, but our thoughts and prayers are with our neighbors at Technical Threads, whose building was destroyed.

We want to extend our deepest thanks to the firefighters who responded quickly and worked hard to contain the fire, preventing further damage from spreading.

FABS will be closed today for scheduled training—which, in light of this situation, feels like a blessing—so that crews can continue their important work ensuring everything remains safe.

We had a little pre-weekend fun around the clinic… and poor Corbin didn’t see it coming! 😆

What started as a harmless walkie talkie prank quickly turned into a full-blown group effort once everyone caught on! 😂

The FABS Post Office opens for business tomorrow morning! Our clients will get to let their imaginations soar as they take on the role of mail carriers because not even "snow nor rain nor heat" can stop these pretend letters from being delivered! We can't wait to see the creative ways they bring our dramatic play center to life! It's always so fun watching their ideas take shape!

Year 6 is complete (well, tomorrow July 19th)! It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come! This past year has brought immense change, challenge, and growth—not just for our organization, but for every individual who walks through our doors!

We’ve navigated major transitions—new facilities (we're so excited!), potential funding threats, and key staffing changes. We've also built and strengthened meaningful partnerships within our community! But more than anything, we’ve witnessed the kind of growth that matters most: the progress, laughter, and joy of our clients! We've celebrated milestones, welcomed new faces, deepened relationships, and shared countless unforgettable moments!

While I wouldn’t necessarily choose to relive every part of Year 6, I’m profoundly grateful for what it’s taught FABS! And as we look to Year 7, I’m filled with hope and excitement for all the ways we’ll continue to grow, learn, and build—together!

Here’s to another year of impact, connection, and joy at FABS!

We had an incredible day of training with our amazing team!

Today was all about reconnecting with our why—the reason we show up every day with passion, dedication, and heart to support our clients!

But of course, we couldn’t end the day without a little fun! Our staff brought the energy and creativity with a Seated Dance Challenge!

We picked the songs, gave them one rule—they had to stay seated—and they delivered!

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hometown Nutrition for welcoming our clients to volunteer over the past two weeks (and continue throughout the summer)! Your hospitality and support created an encouraging space for our clients to build vocational skills and gain meaningful experience!

Our summer outings are off to a great start! We're looking forward to tons of fun in the sun, but we started off with indoor activities!

On Tuesday, we made our first stop at the library —we browsed books, played games, and had a blast with the toys!

Today’s plan was a splash pad visit, but the weather had other ideas so we pivoted and turned the day into an indoor adventure instead! We watched Cars and had popcorn at our very own “drive-in” movie experience!

Not a bad start to summer if you ask us!

Big news and bittersweet feelings at Franklin Applied Behavior Services!
One of our amazing BCBAs, Sydney, recently announced the launch of Anderson Therapy Group, a new company she’s opening with her mom and sister to provide ABA services and speech in Columbus, IN — a dream built on passion, love, and a shared vision for supporting others! While she’ll still be with us until July (and we’re soaking up every minute!), we’re already feeling the mix of pride and sadness that comes with watching someone so special spread their wings!
Sydney has made a lasting impact at FABS — with her heart and her unwavering dedication to the children and families we serve. We are so grateful for the time we’ve had with her and so excited to watch Anderson Therapy Group thrive with her leading the way!

We’re thrilled to share that our new addition has officially PASSED the occupancy inspection today!

This is a huge milestone and brings us one step closer to moving into our beautiful new space. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey — we can’t wait to see all the ways this expansion will help us grow and serve our families even better.

Our building addition is almost complete, and it's been such a fun experience watching the construction progress! The sounds of hammers, the sight of scaffolding (and stilts - adults and kids alike want to try them), and the excitement in the air have inspired a brand new dramatic play area: the FABS Hardware Store!

Our clients are loving the chance to “help out” with the addition through hands-on, imaginative play. From measuring and “sawing” to teamwork and problem-solving, this play space gives them a chance to practice important skills while becoming builders themselves!

We love turning real-world events into meaningful learning moments. Stay tuned as we build more fun into every day!
