The Lice Place franchise (formerly The Texas Lice Squad), was started by Penny Warner, BSN, RN. It is the only lice removal franchise treatment center in the United States owned and operated by a Registered Nurse. What does that mean to you? and utilizing a method which is proven 100% effective and safe. Penny Warner, a Registered Nurse, with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing started her lice-removal practice in 2006, after a long career in critical care and hospital administration. She founded the first lice removal service in Texas after fighting head lice on her own children. Penny knew that if she, as a nurse, was having a tough time eliminating head lice on her own children, other parents had to have the same problem. She started researching head lice and was amazed by the amount of misinformation out there. She built The Lice Place based on the need for better head lice education and better, safer, and effective non-toxic treatment methods. What began as a one-woman lice removal service has grown into a successful lice removal franchise. Expanding outside of Texas is a new and exciting endeavor, as The Lice Place will now become available to help families in other areas of the country who are dealing with head lice. Providing hands-on help while simultaneously educating their clients in proper steps towards identification and prevention, The Lice Place is able to help parents safely eliminate head lice using non-toxic, pesticide-free products and professional combing to ensure the removal of all nits and lice.
