As we continue to fight against the spread of COVID-19 across the nation, state and within our local communities, The Village at Woods Edge remains committed to protecting the health and well-being of its Village residents and staff. We continue to offer every assurance to our residents, residents’ families and employees that The Village at Woods Edge follows all recommendations and guidance from health officials. The Village has an established, trained internal Infection Control Team who is working collaboratively with health officials from the Virginia Department of Health, among others. For anyone entering campus (this includes all staff members, pre-approved, essential vendors and outdoor visitors), you must first report to the front entrance upon entry of campus. There, you will be greeted outside under the drive through pavilion. We have a registration process in place which includes a health screening and updates on current procedures within our community. Visiting Guidelines
We continue to be under a No Visitor Status for the main campus building. While visitors are not to enter into the main building of The Village for resident safety, Village staff is able to assist with virtual visits with your loved one. If you are interested in scheduling these accommodations, please call the Administration Office at 757-562-3100.
Drop off and Delivery Station
For families or friends who would like to drop off a special items to their loved ones, we ask that you deliver these items to The Village's front entrance between 10am-4pm any day of the week. A Village representative will accept your delivery from the safety of your vehicle. The delivery will then go through a sanitation process and be safely delivered to the resident.
Meal Delivery Services
Residents have the options of delivery services from Resident Dining menus as well as the Back Porch and Grille. These include Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner services. Infection Control Procedures are followed throughout the meal preparation and delivery process.
Grocery and Convenience Items Delivery Service
The Village is offering essential services to eliminate the need to frequent public spaces - like grocery stores, pharmacies, etc. Groceries and a list of Convenience Items are available to residents and staff of the Village. Please call 757-562-3100 to place an order and schedule a delivery.

Sanitation Procedures
The Environmental Services team has increased sanitation procedures with particular emphasis on common areas, door k***s, railings and elevators. We have implemented daily cleaning processes at our community and have heightened sanitation procedures within our common spaces. Our staff has been trained and has specialized equipment to sanitize frequently utilized spaces within our community.
Face Coverings
Residents and Staff are to continue to wear face coverings while in spaces where they may interact with others (i.e. Village hallways, elevators, mailroom, common areas.) The Village will provide disposable face masks to residents and staff who are in need.
Resident Engagement
Resident continue to benefit from creative engagement while we continue to support physical distancing. Some of these include: parades throughout campus, concerts from the lawn, patio wellness classes - all where residents can participate from the safety of their porches and balconies. Other creative engagement opportunities are: puzzle packet deliveries, dessert and icecream trollies, and happy hour - delivered.
