Help us celebrate one of our BEE Award winners: Valarie Smith, Phlebotomist. 🐝

“If you need someone to teach a master class in customer service and patient relations, Valarie would be the one.”

Valarie was nominated for the compassionate, patient-centered care she provides every single day. As a phlebotomist at the Nolensville Draw Station, she consistently treats every patient with care, respect, and dignity — and it shows.

“Valarie is excellent. I will always return to the Nolensville lab for blood work due to the lab tech being so polite and excellent at her job.”

Beyond exceptional service, Valarie recently demonstrated remarkable professionalism when a young patient lost consciousness during a blood draw. She responded quickly and calmly, providing attentive care to both the patient and their mother, remaining by their side until EMS arrived and ensuring safe transport to the hospital.

Valarie’s dedication to safety, compassion, and excellence make her an outstanding ambassador for her department — and a shining example of patient-centered care.

Congratulations, Valarie, and thank you for representing Williamson Health so well every day 💛🐝
