It’s National Strawberry Day! 🍓

Strawberries bring back so many sweet memories for our residents. Summer gardens, homemade jam, strawberry festivals, and fresh pies cooling on the counter just to name a few. Today our residents enjoyed a special strawberry treat prepared by our wonderful Activities Department.

Our residents at Fair City Health and Rehab had the best time celebrating National Pizza Day by making their very own personal pizzas. From pepperoni to fresh veggies, everyone got creative and made their pizzas just the way they liked them.

There was something special about sharing food, laughter, and memories around the table. Activities like this were not just fun, they encouraged socialization, fine motor skills, creativity, and brought back wonderful memories.

A special thank you to Ariel, our Dietary Manager, for preparing everything and helping our residents create the perfect pizzas. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. 🍕🫶🏼

⭐️ FAIR CITY HEALTH & REHAB ALL-STAR ⭐️

Meet Juanita, age 86.
She was born in Baton Rouge, LA, raised in Tylertown, MS, and is proud to have raised her family in Enon, LA.

Juanita came to Fair City after a fall at home that resulted in a broken arm. Her goal from the beginning was to return home and be able to care for herself again, including doing the things she loves, like cooking and baking.

During her stay, Juanita enjoyed therapy, meeting new friends, and especially the staff at Fair City. She would like to thank her favorite nurse, Lauren Page, for the excellent care she provided during her stay. Through her hard work and dedication, Juanita is now walking without assistance, has regained the strength needed to care for herself, and has recently returned home with confidence and independence.

We are so proud of her progress and honored to have been part of her journey.

What a busy day at Fair City!! From a PJ party to gifts and caroling, our residents enjoyed the spirit of Christmas. There are still many activities left in the season. We have 2 parties, secret Santa, the Angel tree, and our resident Christmas party. We appreciate all the love we have received from Washington Parish. A very special thanks to the youth group of Ben’s Ford Baptist Church, and the Girls of Grace Ministry, you made their day.
