I want to dedicate time to get to the root cause so that finally prevention is an option.

From what I have learned PCOS also includes the inability to process sugars as you would normally, reducing sugar intake has truly helped me a ton.

Included water filter seeing that PFOAs in the water was my initial thought on why I started having symptoms. Raleigh NC water has high PFOAs in their water. By reducing the PFOAs in the water I noticed a difference.

DO YOU HAVE THESE SYMPTOMS:
1) Excessive body and facial hair
2) Thinning scalp hair
3) Acne and skin problems
4) Weight Gain
5) Irregular Periods
6) Infertility
.... then you can have PCOS!

My Story: I was diagnosed with PCOS as of 2022. Pain started with stabbing pain in lower abdomen randomly left or right at different times. I also began to notice hair loss more and more often. This resulted in a blood work showing high Testosterone levels. A pelvic ultrasound resulting in visualization of the "string of pearls appearance consistent with polycystic ovaries" The struggle continues with sporadic pain in the ovaries and hair loss. Wild Yams has been known to help. I take it only as needed although likely would have a better effect if taken regularly. Would love to hear your experiences, symptoms, diagnosis age, etc. Please feel free to share your story.

Looking forward to work with the community to find the cause of PCOS. In order to do so it's important to gather targeted data to see if certain factors create a pattern. Hearing and seeing personal experiences can help get what's needed to bring this to the medical community.
