If you ordered Beef Cake, our original vanilla-scented, tallow balm, you’ll notice a slight color change in this batch compared to others because I added more vanilla to it!

This is why I say made in small batches.

I can take your feedback from each batch and edit the next round, depending on what the general consensus was — which is another reason why I am reworking our recipe after the summer break to give you a more luxurious experience.

Same quality, same products made with intention. 🫶

Because when you’re stretched too thin in multiple directions, it’s no good for anyone.

After the snowstorm came and then a sinus infection, I needed to make sure I was at my healthiest before resuming tallow production for this current restock.

You might have noticed I keep it real around here — and I believe in full transparency.

Today is the last day of our current batch production, and then everything’s getting labeled and shipped out (a little later than anticipated, but we’re rolling with the punches over here).

After this batch is out, I’m taking a little break, and will be back after the summer, to focus fully on my family, flower farm ( ), and marketing clients.

I may have a small amount left for Free Range (our bug balm) that I’ll add in to the website over the next week, but then that’s it for a little while.

Thank you so so much for your support for shopping local with our retail partners, and for understanding that there’s a real human behind this skincare and cooking tallow brand. 🫶

Heading towards to final phase and finish line of this batch of tallow, and each time I’m reminded of this — good things take time. ✨

Crafting with intention and care in small batches allows me to focus on what matters, and ignore the outside noise.

I am in the homestretch, doing a second render and adding the essential oils. Then comes whipping and piping into the jars.

My tallow is very affordable because I do not add any additional oils like jojoba oil, almond oil or anything else.

That being said, when it sets up in the jar, it often times hardens and requires a little bit of working it in with your fingers to get it to be loose — and then it melts right into your skin when you apply it.

I realize that while I have gotten used to this over the years of using it for my family, you may prefer a more luxurious feel and that instant smooth right out of the jar.

So after the summer and a break to focus on my flower farm, I will be tweaking my recipe a bit to incorporate some luxury into my jars and give you that experience.

With the snowstorm and remnants, I have been a bit behind schedule with regards to packing and shipping orders.

Thank you very much for your patience! I am working hard around the clock to get things sent out by the end of the weekend. 🫶

After the rendering phase, I strain and weigh the liquid gold (aka tallow) to get it ready to chill, before a second render and separating impurities.

This batch is going beautifully, and I cannot wait to show you the final results. 🫶

This was never supposed to be trendy. I created this for myself and my family —because we all have skin dryness and issues.
