I grew up in a house that sat comfortably nestled under a canopy of massive, intertwined branches of giant elm trees.

I loved those trees. I felt protected by them. They were always watching over me.

When Sean and I moved into our home in Fraser 6 years ago and I stood in silence under these towering aspens for the first time, gazing up at their wide-eyed knots and glistening sequin leaves, I felt a deep and familiar sense of comfort and belonging.
