Congratulations to Marycrest – a Trinity Health Senior Community in Livonia, MI – who on May 14 celebrated the opening of its newest offering: The Estates at Marycrest. Featuring a total of 63 studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom residences, The Estates are an assisted living community for older adults. Nearly 100 guests attended, hearing from speakers including Ben Harmon, administrator of Marycrest; Dan Drake, president and chief executive officer of Trinity Health Continuing Care; Becky Lund, regional vice president of operations for Trinity Health Senior Communities in Michigan; and Dan West, chief executive officer of the Livonia-Westland Chamber of Commerce. In her remarks, Becky Lund reflected on the heritage of the Franciscan Sisters of Saint Joseph, who –along with Trinity Health Senior Communities – acquired Marycrest in 2013 and the Sisters of Mercy, many of whom have been residents of Marycrest through the years, saying that their respective rich traditions “are at the heart of this extraordinary community.” She talked about how the current leadership team and colleagues at Marycrest have reverenced the legacies of these women religious as well as the Trinity Health Mission and Core Values to keep Marycrest vibrant and constantly evolving. Marycrest offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Respite Care to older adults.
