Our residents, families and associates had a wonderful time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day together! ☘️ Laughter filled the room as everyone shared smiles, stories, and a little Irish cheer. The warmth and love throughout the day made it feel truly magical proving that the real treasure isn’t gold, but the joy we share together. Still, by the end of the celebration, it certainly felt like everyone found their gold at the end of the rainbow! 🌈✨

The rule of the day was simple — no ladies allowed — so the guys could enjoy some classic guy talk, plenty of laughs, and of course, great pizza. Today we celebrate International Women’s Day and honor the strength, compassion, and resilience of women everywhere. At Silverado, this day carries special meaning. Women make up the majority of those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, and they are also often the daughters, spouses, and caregivers walking alongside a loved one on the journey.

Every day, we witness the remarkable stories of the women in our community. Former teachers, mothers, leaders, artists, and trailblazers whose lives and identities continue to matter far beyond a diagnosis. We are equally inspired by the dedicated women on our team who bring expertise, empathy, and advocacy to dementia care.

Today we celebrate National Maintenance Workers Day, and at Silverado, this recognition means so much more than keeping a building running. Our Plant Operations team, including maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry, helps keep the community running with the welcoming environment our residents and families rely on every single day.

From fixing the little things before anyone notices, to ensuring every space feels clean, calm, and like home, their work quietly supports dignity, connection, and quality of life. They are problem solvers, helpers, and an essential part of the care team.

Our Baking Club is a beautiful example of how we breathe life into every program we offer. The aroma of fresh ingredients, the joy of measuring and mixing, and the pride of sharing a finished treat all create meaningful moments that feel familiar and purposeful.

In Baking Club, residents aren’t simply participating in an activity, they are reclaiming roles they’ve held for years as bakers, hosts, parents, and creators. The excitement was palpable as the Golden Retriever Club made their highly anticipated visit to our community! Tails wagged and hearts melted as these gentle, affectionate companions made their rounds, bringing smiles not only to our residents but to their families as well. Laughter filled the room as hands reached out for soft fur and warm nuzzles, creating beautiful moments of connection and joy.

The visit was a wonderful reminder of the comfort and happiness that animals bring, and the entire community was uplifted by the love these special four-legged friends so generously shared. 🥰🐾
