That's Sew Hillary

That's Sew Hillary Sewing lessons, sewing workshops, and maker events. Let's make something awesome, Frederick. The world can never have too many makers. Want to be a maker? Cool.

Makers are using their energy and resources to create a nicer world around them. Makers have appreciation for quality and the real work that goes into "stuff". Makers discover their individuality and are proud to display it. Makers aren't scared to explore their curiosity and problem solve their way through creation, gifting the world with something completely unique to themselves. I can help.

Join us to sew zipper pouches to stuff with hygiene products for !!

🗓️ Friday, November 21 | 6-9 p.m.
📍

We are going to sew the zipper bags assembly line style, so everyone will be sewing a different step. All materials are provided for the bags, but please bring your sewing machine, pins, scissors, and a few colors of thread if you have it!

Because of what we’re making, some sewing experience is necessary - but it’s ok if you’re a beginner, we will give you a simple job!!

If you are able to, please bring any hygiene items (brand new and sealed) from the second image to add to the zipper bags!

❤️ Can’t come to the event but still want to help?
Please consider donating hygiene products to be packed into the zipper bags! We need any of the items listed on the second image, brand new and sealed. Message me for a drop off time.

We hope to see you there!!

I am SO excited to introduce you to Emily of 🧶

Emily is a long-time knitter and teacher who draws endless inspiration from nature. She knits for her family (including her two little wildlings!) and loves helping others learn to make cozy, handmade pieces for themselves and their loved ones.

This autumn, Emily will be leading a 6-week Beginner Knitting Series, perfect for anyone who’s ever wanted to pick up needles and yarn but didn’t know where to start. You’ll learn the knitting basics and leave the series with two beautiful projects: fingerless gloves and a hat!

Come stitch, sip tea, and fall in love with knitting alongside Emily!

It's that time again!

If you're new here, Sue of and I host a craft swap a few times a year at Give Rise (125 S Carroll St. Suite 101) This is a free craft exchange - Sue and I collect people's leftover fabric and craft supplies before the event, then people can come take whatever they want during the event!

March's event was wild - we had the most donated, lines down the street and barely anything leftover. You all showed up with a smile and patience as we navigated our capacity limits and the long lines. This time around, we will be mindful of lines, provide some line treats and will still rely on your patience, smiles and craftiness to make this event special and beneficial to all.

*We are NOT accepting donations the day of the event.*

BYO Bags or we usually have some boxes and bags near the door.

Drop off days/times will be announced soon - we will not return containers, boxes, rubbermaid containers for you so plan accordingly. PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF AT THE STUDIO OUTSIDE OF DROP OFF TIMES. We are a service events based Studio where our hours aren't regular and need to keep all doors and hallways clear for our Studio community.

Everything that's leftover gets donated to local charities/schools/anyone who can use them. (if you want to be on that list, let me know!!)

Let me know if you have any questions!
