Our Clinical Supervisors showed off their creative skills by participating in Frederick Health’s Great Pumpkin Contest. Various departments decorated pumpkins to represent the work they do. Our team is always ready to have the difficult, but important conversations, about the “elephant in the room.”

The Camp Jamie Teen Grief Retreat is an opportunity for teens in grades 9-12 to identify grief coping strategies and connect with others who have experienced the death of a loved one. This one-day retreat includes arts-based therapy, interaction with animals, music, and nature-based activities. Held in the woods of Thorpewood in Thurmont, MD teens can express their grief in a safe and supportive environment.

Hospice Director Korey Cobb will join Team Frederick—a group of local leaders including the Mayor, Police Chief, and school principals—taking on the Harlem Wizards in a fun, fundraising basketball event for local youth organizations. The game is November 1 at Frederick Community College, doors open at 5 PM, tip-off at 6 PM, with comedy, audience participation, and a chance for kids to meet the Wizards.
