Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater has announced $1.2 million in Community Partnership Grant awards to 42 local nonprofit organizations!

Priorities for funding support one of four areas: Addressing Homelessness and Housing Solutions, Quality of Life, Public Health, and Supporting the Arts.

These grants will help provide emergency services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, mentorship and life‑skills programs, medical and dental care to those in need, support for low-income seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities, expanded access to the arts, and many more services that strengthen our community.

We were honored to welcome David Trone and his team for a visit to Andrea’s House. It’s always meaningful to share our mission, walk through the work being done each day, and highlight the impact of providing safe, faith-based recovery housing for women and children.

Last night’s Rise & Renew Gala was more than a celebration - it was a step forward for the future of Andrea’s House and the families we serve. 💙

As we continue our mission of empowering women in recovery, we are also looking ahead through our Building Bridges expansion - creating access to affordable child care for the mothers and families who need it most.

Affordable, reliable child care is often one of the biggest barriers to recovery, employment, and stability. Building Bridges is designed to remove that barrier and create stronger pathways toward healing, independence, and long-term success.

We are so grateful for the incredible women from Hope Christian Fellowship Church, MD for pouring into our ladies in such a meaningful way.

They created an unforgettable experience—giving our women the opportunity to shop freely for themselves, something so simple yet so powerful in restoring confidence, dignity, and joy.

On top of that, they generously shopped for Andrea’s House as well, filling carts with essentials like towels, bedding, toiletries, and more to support our home.

One of the most special moments? Our ladies were welcomed into Macy’s before it even opened, creating a private, uplifting experience they’ll never forget.
