Today, Andrea’s House received a $20,000 grant award from the Delaplaine Foundation, Inc., and our hearts are overflowing. This incredible support will directly impact the women and children we serve, strengthening our mission to empower families on their journey of recovery, stability, and renewed purpose.

We couldn’t be more thankful! 🎁

Giving back to our community is at the heart of everything we do at WLR. Today, we were proud to donate food items to Andrea's House- Transitional Living For Women and Children, a faith-based program supporting women and children through recovery, empowerment, and keeping families together.

We were honored to welcome Carleah Summers, founder of Andreas House, along with her dedicated team to our corporate office and hear firsthand about the meaningful impact of their work. As the only program of its kind, Andreas House is creating hope, stability, and brighter futures for women and families in our community.

WLR is grateful for the opportunity to support local organizations like Andreas House and to stand alongside those who are changing lives every day. 🤍

We are so grateful to Maryland He**in Awareness Advocates and the Westminster Lion’s Club for bringing Cakes and Carol to Andrea’s House. 💗🍰🎶

The goal was simple and powerful - to spread positivity, joy, and holiday cheer to our women and children, and that’s exactly what they did.

We also appreciate our Board members Brittnee and Makayla for being there and continuing to show up for our families. Moments like these remind us how strong community support truly is.

🎄💙 We are so grateful to the students of Saint John's Catholic Prep for spreading so much love this season through their Angel Tree project.

Their thoughtful gift drop off brought joy, hope, and big smiles to our women and children at Andrea’s House. Acts of kindness like this remind our families that they are seen, supported, and deeply cared for by our community.

We are honored to be receiving gifts from Santa’s Workshop, presented by Asbury United Methodist Church in partnership with Helping Hands and Caring Hearts!

Because of this beautiful community effort, our moms and children at Andrea’s House will experience the joy, dignity, and wonder of the season in such a meaningful way. From parents being able to shop for their little ones to kids picking out something special for their parents, this is what the heart of the holidays truly looks like.

Attended the Zonta Club of Frederick Christmas Party the other night and our hearts are still so full. They surprised the women and children of Andrea’s House with the most thoughtful birthday boxes – each one packed with love, care, and a reminder that every life is worth celebrating.

Today, we received a wonderful gift from the Young Professional Builders Council (YPBC) and the Frederick County Building Industry Association a $2,000 donation to help fight food insecurity during the holidays. This generous contribution will go a long way in providing essential support for our families in need.
