Black Maternal Health Week is a time to bring awareness to an important and ongoing reality 💛

In the United States, Black women are significantly more likely to experience complications during pregnancy and postpartum, including death. These outcomes are not due to one single factor, but rather a combination of disparities in care, access, support, and being heard. It’s also important to acknowledge that systemic racism in medicine continues to impact the quality of care and outcomes for many Black mothers.

Every mother deserves to feel:

Improving maternal health starts with the awareness, advocacy, and a commitment to more compassionate, individualized care for all.
