🐾 Lucy the Therapy Dog with Wags For Hope had a heartwarming visit to Frederick Health's James Stockman Cancer Center today! 💕🐶

It was truly wonderful to spread cheer and comfort to the incredible staff, patients, nurses, and doctors who do so much for our community.

And we have exciting news… this will be the first of many more visits! 🎉
Our Wags For Hope Therapy Teams are gearing up to continue supporting the amazing work happening at our local Cancer Center.

Lucy had a pawsome day celebrating with everyone at the NAM Knights of America Anniversary Party! 🇺🇸🐶

She was on hand for the grand showing of the AF-ALPHA FEMALE clothing line—looking fabulous as always and making new friends left and right! Lucy absolutely loved all the attention and was treated to a cool snow cone by the owner of AF-ALPHA FEMALE. 🍧❤️

🐾📚 Lucy the Therapy Dog Stole the Show! 📚🐾

Lucy had an amazing time at the Middletown Public Library during our READ to a Therapy Dog event! She was so into the stories—she practically had her nose in the book! 😄

Kids loved reading to her, and Lucy loved every minute of the attention, cuddles, and turning pages with her snout. 💕🐶

🐾📚 Lucy Had a Paws-itively Wonderful Time at the Brunswick Library! 📚🐾

Lucy had the best day ever at the Read to a Therapy Dog event this past Saturday at the Brunswick Library! 🐶💕

She met so many new young readers who were excited to share their favorite books, stories, and snuggles. From silly stories to sweet smiles, Lucy soaked up every minute—and so did we!

Thank you to all the amazing kids and families who came out to read with us. Lucy can’t wait to come back for more tail-wagging tales! 🥰📖

🐾✨ Lucy the Therapy Dog Visits Andrea's House! ✨🐾

While Lucy from Wags For Hope was visiting Andrea's House, the kids couldn't wait to get their paws on her special coloring sheet! 🎨🐶 Look at these fabulous creations—so full of love and color! One sweet kid even drew Lucy her very own picture. 💕🐾

Lucy had a tail-wagging good time and is already looking forward to her next visit!

Visits like this are so important. Therapy dogs provide comfort, emotional support, and a sense of calm in transitional living environments. For women and children facing challenges and change, a friendly face like Lucy's can brighten the day, ease anxiety, and help build trust and joy in a safe, healing space.

We couldn’t resist hopping on the trend — “What would your dog look like as a person?”

So, of course, we had to imagine what Lucy the Therapy Dog would look like as a human… and honestly? She’s just as fabulous!

Bright-eyed, full of joy, and rocking her signature “Follow the Rainbow” style, Lucy as a person is everything we imagined — kind-hearted, full of sunshine, and always ready to bring smiles wherever she goes. Whether she’s comforting someone in need or twirling in a tutu, Lucy’s sparkle shines through in any form.

The Power of a Therapy Dog🐾🐾🐾🐾

Having a partnership with the Thurmont Police Department brings unique opportunities for our Wags For Hope therapy teams to make a difference.

This afternoon, two teens came into the station upset after experiencing bullying. While the amazing officers handled the situation, Team Lucy was there to provide comfort and support. It’s incredible how therapy dogs can change a person’s mood, offering a sense of calm in difficult moments.

As the teens left, we reminded them that they’re always welcome to stop by and visit our official therapy dog anytime they need a little extra comfort.

Remember—Be a Buddy, Not a Bully!
