“Sit with your emotions”…what does this even mean?
Our emotions (all of them) need space and deserve to have it. Often we label emotions as good or bad and even brush it all under the rug. Think about the last emotion you judged…how did it help your process?
A few steps to consider 🌿

1. notice the emotion: how you feel (try connecting what your body is doing)

2. identify the emotion: name it so we can begin trying to understand it

3. name the evidence: list all the possible reasons we could feel this way

4. validate your experience: hold the judgment and stay curious…let the emotion know it makes sense

5. do a skill & release it: grounding and allowing the emotion to be experienced (it may rise before coming back down to a more manageable level)
Consider what would happen if you approached even the most uncomfortable emotions with more curiosity and less judgment. As always, be gentle with yourself.
