We invite you to meet Victoria, one of our Healthy Families Frederick Family Support and Resource Specialists. We asked Victoria to share why she loves working at MHA.

"My Favorite Thing about MHA is the high camaraderie. Not only is this focus on building valuable relationships among our coworkers and colleagues, but MHA wants that same connection to overflow into our community. It allows us to provide the connection from the inside out and shows that we fill our cup in order to fill the cup of the families and individuals we support in Frederick County and more.

As a Support Specialist, I have had a valuable win of not only encouraging my families during home visits but also having them know they can reach out to me if they are in any situation."

We invite you to meet Suhail, one of our Healthy Families Frederick Family Support Specialists. We asked Suhail to share why she loves working at MHA.

"What I love most about MHA is the wonderful family and community it is. It's a delight to work with people so passionate about serving others.

I want to highlight one of my super moms who participates daily in various community programs for her baby's development and her own personal growth, such as playgroups, English classes, citizenship classes, and prenatal classes. And today we celebrate that she passed her citizenship exam, and her baby is excelling at daycare as an independent child with advanced language and skills for her age."

Healthy Families Frederick County provides intensive, in-home education, support, and resources to first-time parents of infants and continues to support them through age five at no cost to families.

Specially trained Family Support Specialists will provide coaching and information related to:
• Healthy child development
• Positive Parenting using “Growing Great Kids” and “Partners for Healthy Babies” curriculum
• Strengthening family life
• Establishing individual and family goals
• Parent-child bonding and communication
• Identification of medical providers
• Well-baby medical care and immunizations

We want to extend our sincerest gratitude to Frederick Presbyterian Church for their generous gifts to our Healthy Families Frederick participants.

The Frederick Presbyterian congregation made sure all 43 of our Healthy Families children received multiple gifts and a little something for their moms as well. Special recognition goes to Lisa Myers for organizing the donations.
