We are honored to welcome Melissa Muntz, Executive Director of the Student Homelessness Initiative Partnership (SHIP) of Frederick County. Melissa is a passionate advocate for homeless youth and their families and was recognized by Sass Magazine as one of Frederick County’s Top Community Champions in Nonprofit Leadership. SHIP provides vital support through programs like New Horizons and the Thrive Housing Network, helping students build skills, stability, and hope for their futures. We can’t wait to hear her story and learn from her impactful work.

📍 Village Crossing at Worman’s Mill
One of our favorite WISH traditions! Vision Board Night is a joyful opportunity to reflect, dream, and set intentions for the year ahead. Creating a vision board helps bring clarity to your goals, spark creativity, and remind you of what’s possible — all while sharing energy and encouragement with this amazing group of women.
Please bring:
• Your vision board (make it your own!)
• Magazines, images, or materials you’d like to use
• Your “one word for the year” if you have one
We’ll have some supplies, but feel free to bring anything special. Don’t worry if you’re not crafty — this night is about intention, fun, and community 💫
Please also bring a dish to share and an adult beverage if you prefer.

We are SO looking forward to this special day together — full hearts, big dreams, and powerful support. 💕

We are still feeling SO inspired after hearing from the incredible Stephanie Bidle 🌟 at our WISH - Women Inspiring Supporting & Helping morning meeting, on Thusday January 8th! Her message was filled with purpose, clarity, and heart—and it truly fueled us as we look ahead to our upcoming WISH Annual Vision Board Night! on February 5th and the year ahead.

Stephanie’s words reminded us to slow down, reconnect with what truly matters, and intentionally design lives aligned with our values and purpose. Her energy, insight, and encouragement left us feeling motivated, empowered, and excited to dream BIG—not just for one night, but for all of 2026 and beyond.

As an award-winning coach, leadership development trainer, and founder of The Simplicity Secret, Stephanie brings a beautiful blend of inspiration and practical guidance. Her passion for helping people redefine success and create meaningful, fulfilling lives was felt by everyone in the room—and it set the perfect tone as we prepare to visualize our goals and intentions together.

✨ A Year of Gratitude – WISH 2025 ✨

As we reflect on 2025, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. 💕 To everyone who attended our events, volunteered, reached out for guidance or support, and acknowledged the work being done through WISH—thank you. Your belief in our mission and your passion for helping others is what makes this community so special.

This year’s fundraisers—the Tea & Fashion Show, Bingo Bash, and Festive Firs—were filled with big hearts, festive spirit, laughter, and meaningful community giving. While fundraising matters, what means the most to us is the positive difference made in people’s lives—moments of connection, support, and joy that will always be remembered and cherished.

With heavy hearts, we also honor and remember Kimberly Rizzo McGee of the Frederick Elks Lodge 684, a devoted Bingo volunteer who passed away on December 3, just weeks after our Bingo Bash. Kim embodied grace, gratitude, and a true servant’s heart. She was always ready to help others, and her kindness will never be forgotten. 💜

Founded in 2010 and evolving into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2015, WISH continues to thrive because of you—our members, volunteers, attendees, and supporters. Our mission is rooted in giving back through time, compassion, and community, and together we are making a difference that goes far beyond numbers.

When women inspire, support, and help one another, there truly is no limit to what we can accomplish. ✨

What an absolutely WONDERFUL evening! ✨💖

Our WISH “Favorite Things” Holiday Party never fails to fill our hearts, and last night was no exception. This annual tradition is truly one of the most special gatherings of the year — a night where laughter echoes, friendships deepen, and the spirit of giving shines so brightly.

A very special THANK YOU to our gracious host and WISH sister, Robyn C**n Wheat, for welcoming us into our favorite gathering place at Village Crossing at Worman's Mill. Robin, your warmth, generosity, and hospitality made the evening feel extra magical. We are so grateful for you!

Thank you to every beautiful WISH woman who came out, brought delicious food, shared your favorite things, and filled the room with joy, kindness, and connection. Watching each person choose their gifts, cheer for one another, and enjoy the moment reminded all of us why this group is so extraordinary.

We didn’t just leave with five fun treasures… we left with full hearts, renewed inspiration, and memories that will carry us beautifully through the holiday season.

Here’s to sisterhood, gratitude, giving, and all the magic that happens when women come together to inspire, support, and lift each other up. ✨🎄❤️

We were truly HONORED to attend the techfrederick Techie Awards last evening to celebrate our dear friend and WISH - Women Inspiring Supporting & Helping sister, Rebecca Swain-Eng, as she received the Community Advocate Award 🏆💙

Rebecca is a beautiful soul who gives endlessly to others and leads with heart, compassion, and purpose. Our community is better because of her, and we are so grateful for all she does.

CONGRATULATIONS, Rebecca! You are so deserving — we appreciate you more than words can say.

Christmas came early — and our hearts are still smiling❤️🎁

What a beautiful, inspiring, joy-filled way to kick off the holiday season — surrounded by laughter, friendship, festive cheer, and the magic of community at our morning meeting last Thursday. From Santa and his North Pole crew bringing smiles and holiday spirit 🧑‍🎄✨ to the warmth and connection in the room, it truly felt like Christmas came early.

We were deeply inspired by the incredible story of Kujenga Inclusive Game Changer School (KIGCS) and its founder, Maggie Lusweti. Her passion, love, and dedication — honoring her late father while empowering children with special needs in Kenya — touched all of our hearts. Knowing that these amazing students are creating beautiful handicrafts to help fund their education and future made this morning even more meaningful. 💛🌍

A heartfelt thank you to Canapés Catering for so graciously hosting us and for always delivering exceptional customer service and absolutely delicious food. Your hospitality makes our WISH mornings feel extra special, and we are so grateful for your continued support. ✨

To our WISH Women — thank you for showing up with open hearts, generosity, and such festive joy. You make these gatherings special, impactful, and full of love. The energy, the smiles, the support, and the holiday spirit reminded me once again why this community is so powerful. ❤️
