After 13 incredible and fulfilling years, I am stepping down as President of WISH Women Inspiring Supporting & Helping 🩷

What a journey this has been. From the very beginning to growing into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, WISH has been built on the love, dedication, and support of so many amazing women and friends. You have touched my heart and soul in ways I will carry with me forever. Through life’s ups and downs, this community has been a source of strength, inspiration, and purpose.

WISH has never just been an organization—it’s been family. A place where we lift each other up, lead with acceptance, and come together to support nonprofits and organizations in our community through our time, energy, and resources. I am beyond grateful to each and every one of you for being part of this mission.

I’m so excited to share that WISH is in wonderful hands with our new Board:

We were honored to welcome our guest speaker, Elena Griffis, at our April WISH meeting. 🤍🦋

A longtime Labor & Delivery RN and now Perinatal Loss Coordinator, Elena founded The Sophia Ann Charity to support families navigating infant loss. Her organization provides vital resources and therapy support, with a heart to expand care within our community.

It was a truly meaningful and impactful conversation. We’re so thankful for everyone who joined us.

WISH meets the first Thursday of each month at Canapés—you are always welcome here.
Next month, we look forward to hearing from Karen Wolcott and the American Cancer Society on Thursday, May 7th.✨

What a beautiful and inspiring morning we shared at our March 5th WISH - Women Inspiring Supporting & Helping meeting! 💐

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible speaker, Sheila K. Rohe of Bloom Aesthetics & Wellness, for pouring so much knowledge, passion, and care into her presentation. Your dedication to helping women feel confident, informed, and empowered in their health and wellness truly resonated with everyone in the room.

We were especially grateful to hear from the amazing women who shared their personal testimonials—your stories added such depth and authenticity, and reminded us all of the power of supporting one another on our journeys. 💕

It was also wonderful to welcome so many new faces! There is something so special about gathering together in a space filled with encouragement, positivity, and genuine connection. This is what WISH is all about.

Our hearts are still SO full from our annual WISH - Women Inspiring Supporting & Helping Galentine’s Celebration! 💖✨

Being together at McClintock Distilling — surrounded by laughter, friendship, and incredible energy — was such a beautiful reminder of what this community is all about. There is something truly special about women gathering not only to celebrate one another, but to lift up other women in the process.

We were so honored to help support the The Women's Giving Circle of Frederick County, and their meaningful work in our community. Knowing that a portion of the evening would go toward empowering local nonprofits serving women throughout Frederick County made the night even more powerful. Connection with purpose — that’s the magic.

Today, our WISH - Women Inspiring Supporting & Helping community gathered to honor and celebrate the beautiful life of our dear sister, Rebecca Swain-Eng. Though our hearts are heavy, we are deeply grateful for the time we were blessed to share with her.

Rebecca embodied what WISH stands for. She pursued her dreams with courage and grit, never shrinking back from a goal once she set her heart on it. She showed us what it looks like to believe in yourself — and to encourage other women to do the same.

But even more powerful was the way she loved. Rebecca cared for her family and friends with fierce devotion. She lifted women up, made people feel seen and supported, and gave of herself so generously. Her joy, compassion, and unwavering love made our community stronger and brighter.

We will continue to carry her light forward — by chasing our dreams boldly, loving deeply, and supporting one another the way she so beautifully did. Rebecca will forever be a part of WISH. ❤️

🌸 Grateful Hearts at WISH – February 5th Meeting 🌸

Last Thursday, February 5th, our WISH (Women Inspiring, Supporting and Helping) community had the absolute privilege of welcoming Melissa Joseph Muntz, Executive Director of SHIP of Frederick County Student Homelessness Initiative Partnership, as our guest speaker — and what an inspiring morning it was!

Melissa was engaging, uplifting, and powerfully positive as she shared about the incredible work SHIP is doing to support homeless youth and their families in Frederick County. You could truly see and hear the passion and pride in her voice as she spoke about helping students build the skills and capacity they need to achieve their educational goals.

SHIP’s mission — to come alongside students experiencing homelessness and provide basic needs, educational support through the New Horizons program, and housing assistance through the Thrive Housing Network — is changing lives right here in our community. We are so incredibly grateful to have such a compassionate and impactful organization serving Frederick County.

Melissa’s leadership continues to make a meaningful difference, and we are so proud to celebrate her recognition as one of Frederick County’s Top Community Champions in Nonprofit Leadership. What an honor to learn from her!

A very special thank you to Canapés Catering for graciously hosting us and providing absolutely DELICIOUS coffee and food. Your hospitality helped create such a warm and welcoming space for connection and conversation. ☕✨

We are honored to welcome Melissa Muntz, Executive Director of the Student Homelessness Initiative Partnership (SHIP) of Frederick County. Melissa is a passionate advocate for homeless youth and their families and was recognized by Sass Magazine as one of Frederick County’s Top Community Champions in Nonprofit Leadership. SHIP provides vital support through programs like New Horizons and the Thrive Housing Network, helping students build skills, stability, and hope for their futures. We can’t wait to hear her story and learn from her impactful work.

One of our favorite WISH traditions! Vision Board Night is a joyful opportunity to reflect, dream, and set intentions for the year ahead. Creating a vision board helps bring clarity to your goals, spark creativity, and remind you of what’s possible — all while sharing energy and encouragement with this amazing group of women.
Please bring:
• Your vision board (make it your own!)
• Magazines, images, or materials you’d like to use
• Your “one word for the year” if you have one
We’ll have some supplies, but feel free to bring anything special. Don’t worry if you’re not crafty — this night is about intention, fun, and community 💫
Please also bring a dish to share and an adult beverage if you prefer.

We are still feeling SO inspired after hearing from the incredible Stephanie Bidle 🌟 at our WISH - Women Inspiring Supporting & Helping morning meeting, on Thusday January 8th! Her message was filled with purpose, clarity, and heart—and it truly fueled us as we look ahead to our upcoming WISH Annual Vision Board Night! on February 5th and the year ahead.

Stephanie’s words reminded us to slow down, reconnect with what truly matters, and intentionally design lives aligned with our values and purpose. Her energy, insight, and encouragement left us feeling motivated, empowered, and excited to dream BIG—not just for one night, but for all of 2026 and beyond.

As an award-winning coach, leadership development trainer, and founder of The Simplicity Secret, Stephanie brings a beautiful blend of inspiration and practical guidance.
