🤍 But I will sit with you in the hard truths; and help you rise from them.

💭 Here, we talk about the patterns that keep you over-functioning, over-giving,
& quietly burning out in your relationships.

🗣️ Here, we name the things most people avoid: people-pleasing, emotional labor, chasing validation, and/or calling it “just who I am.”

🌿 It’s not. It’s what you learned. And, what I love the most- you can learn something new.

🔑 This space is for women who are self-aware… but ready for more. Those who want to declare freedom from outdated ways of existing.

🌷Women who are tired of carrying it all.

🪷Women who want peace without losing their power.

🪴If you stay here, you will grow.

🌾 Even when it’s uncomfortable. Maybe especially then.

🌼 One of the quiet joys of being a therapist is watching people come back each week with little updates that are actually H U G E.

“I drove on the highway.”
“I set a boundary.”
“I didn’t spiral this time.”
“I asked for what I needed.”

🌷These moments might seem small from the outside, but I know the courage, practice, + self-trust it took to get there. Many have been months or years in the making.

Being trusted with people’s growth is one of the greatest honors of this work.

The wins belong to the; but I get a front row seat. 🤍 I like my view.

💫 Trusting our Inner Being: 🌙

I'm feeling something potent happening right now. It's something loud & super clear......asking (demanding?) us to come home to ourselves.

For a long time, we (especially women) were taught to look outside for answers; to religious leaders, to experts, to spiritual teachers, to anyone who seemed more certain than we felt.

That certainty has been shaken. To the core.

We’ve watched people in power choose ego over integrity. I’ve been witnessing in utter disgust/repulsion.

To be clear:

🧘 I've meditated with Deepak Chopra.
📖 I've read Dr. Peter Attia's books/listened to his podcasts. (Both, self admittedly in the released P€d-o-“files.”
👮 I've worked with misaligned leaders hiding their shadow side behind their "uniform." A uniform/cloak/vestment that denotes some authority.
🧔🏻‍♀️I've been in religious communities/churches as a teen & had to guard/protect myself.

What we often see is charisma mistaken for wisdom. Over & over.

We’ve seen influence used to control, not to care. I've seen victims begging to be heard, but completely dismissed/disregarded.

I believe this is all waking & shaking something up in us; so we can hear our own quiet, steady voice saying:

🌿 Maybe I don’t need to outsource my knowing anymore.
🕊️ This moment in time is not just chaotic; it’s clarifying.
🧭 It’s teaching us to discern.
🌙 To pause before we blindly follow.
🧘‍♀️ To feel what is true in our bodies, not just what is loud in the world.

Because what I know for sure is not everyone who leads is aligned.

Not everyone who speaks is grounded.

And not everyone who claims wisdom is acting in truth.

That doesn’t make us cynical.
It makes us WIDE awake.

🌳 We can respect teachers and still question. In fact, we should question. We can learn from others and still choose ourselves. We can stay open without abandoning our intuition.

Your inner knowing is not naive.
It’s not “too emotional.”
It’s not something to override.
It’s your compass. Period.

If there is nothing else you take from these words, take this:

The real work right now isn’t finding the right leader…
but becoming deeply rooted in your own Inner Authority. 🌷

Trusting yourself. Even when it’s quieter than the noise.
Especially then.

If you are having difficulty separating from "group think" & finding/listening to your own voice, find a TRUSTED other to help guide you on how to uncover it. It's waiting for you.

🌈 ✨ What Gen Z & Millennials bring to the Therapy Conversation:

✴️ Therapy is not just for treating a diagnosis (it never really was.)

🪬 It’s wellness.
🪴 It’s growth.
🍏It’s preventative care for your nervous system.

They also know it’s where you go when:

🌊Life shifts.
☔️Identities crack open or beg for change.
🌧️Old patterns stop working or are now itchy.
🌪️Their body starts talking louder than their mind.
☄️They just want more; not just less symptoms.

🌙Therapy isn’t only for when something is wrong; it’s for when something is ready for change.

🌤️It’s thriving over surviving + insight is a form of self respect.

🌈 I love Gen Z + Millennials for changing the norms around getting support.

🌿Many have been sitting with where to put our energy bytes:

~Racism. Sexism. Fascism.
~Menopause and/or a body that keeps changing the rules.
~Aging parents.
~Big transitions. An emptier house; releasing/adapting the role of parenting that has taken up so much heart space.

🌼 Some days the hardest part isn’t caring; it’s deciding where to that care. 🌼

🕯️ It takes so much courage to move through right now with thoughtfulness + intention.

✨ The work still counts even when it’s quiet, private, or unseen. Not everything meaningful needs to be witnessed to be valid. Some won't understand how you're showing up; it's not for them. It's for you. Let them judge. Berate. That is where they are. (Smug superiority is never a good look on anyone.)

🤍 I'm finding some of our most important shifts happen internally, relationally, slowly; away from an audience. Or in open, beautiful/witty conversations with trusted others.

⚓️ This time can be about choosing steadiness over spectacle; trusting that small, sincere actions matter, even if no one’s clapping/validating.

🫶🏼If you’re carrying any or some of this too, you’re doing brave work. I mean it. It's a real time to human.

🤍 I want to be very clear about the values of my business. 🕊️

Own Your Evolution does not condone I€£ nor the current overreach happening in its name now. I’m not suggesting this agency hasn’t historically been valuable in keeping us safe. It has. I trust it will be again. 🙏

🕯️ What I know for certain is systems built on fear, dehumanization & force ——harm everyone; families, friends, communities. Yes, even those asked to carry out these policies.

♻️ Trust me on this. No one comes out unscathed. Karma always does an audit. 💅🏼 I’m a regular witness to it in & out of my office.

🌿 Whatever your views are, know when humanity is cruelly stripped from any group, ALL of us are diminished.

✨ My work is rooted in dignity, nervous-system safety & the strong belief that EVERY human life has worth.

💪 I unabashedly stand for compassion over cruelty, accountability over violence & care over coercion.

🫶🏼There is no “us vs. them” that leads to healing. Only shared humanity does.

🕊️ Widening the Lens 🪟

🌱 I’ve been thinking about how we take in information & how it shapes our nervous systems as much as our opinions.

🌍 One practice that is especially important is intentionally engaging with multiple news sources, both inside and outside the U.S. No single channel, country, or perspective holds the full picture. Broadening where we listen doesn’t dilute discernment; it can strengthen it. If you're sitting in front of only one, be brave & see what you can glean in other places.

🤲There is real steadiness in staying connected with friends/family who live outside the United States. These conversations often slow the urgency, widen the lens & remind me that our moment exists within a much larger global and historical context. Perspective can be regulating. Information outside your bubble, can be illuminating if we are willing to see it.

🔎And for those of us who know we’re prone to extremes in thinking; black/white, all/nothing, certainty as safety; it’s an act of care to leave room for challenge. I’ve heard good people say very, very concerning things.

🧎🏻‍➡️Make room to ask: What else might be true? What am I not seeing yet? Not to abandon values, but to keep curiosity alive alongside conviction.

🔭 Fact check before posting.

✉️Staying informed doesn’t have to mean staying constantly activated; though that is hard to achieve right now. Sometimes it's an invitation to widen our circle of understanding, soften our edges & let complexity exist in order to move forward with clarity.

🪴 And, consider if we will ever regret treating other humans well.

😉I’m not gonna talk about brain spotting…

😌I’m not gonna explain why talk therapy doesn’t always reach trauma…

🤫I’m not gonna talk about why your body remembers what your mind avoids…

🫦Well, I am going to talk about it just a little bit…. 😌

⚡️Trauma is stored below words.

🌊 The eyes access deeper parts of the brain.

🧩 Brain spotting works with a part of the brain that doesn’t respond to logic or insight. It also follows the belief that where you look affects how you feel; because it accesses the nervous system.

🔐 It’s one of the magical modalities I use in my practice to help clients get unstuck + feel grounded & boundless.

🏫 And yes, I cannot help myself…I’m doing another advanced training in February because my work keeps evolving & so do I! (Own Your Evolution also applies to the me.)

👯‍♀️ Girls Night Out with a focus on mental health.

Talking about mental health with other therapists + meeting a variety of female entrepreneurs doing their magic in the world, was a blend of joy, depth & community.

It was a surprise to me to be Sass Mags cover girl — I appreciate being any part of normalizing what it means to actually take care of your mind, heart & spirit.
