Introducing Dr. Claire~

Hello! My name is Dr. Claire Shults. I am so excited to meet you all and to carry on Dr. Wray's legacy of true excellence in patient care. I grew up in the small town of Warrenton, Virginia where my desire to become an orthodontist was born. I am a proud graduate of University of Maryland School of Dentistry and Indiana University Department of Orthodontics and Oral Facial Genetics.

My favorite part about being an orthodontist is getting to know my patients during a transitional time in their life. Being able to help patients of all ages gain confidence in their smile is an honor and a privilege, and a role that I take seriously. I strive for my patients to be excited to come to their appointments, relaxed in the dental chair, and overjoyed with their results!

In my spare time, you can find me exploring a new part of town, trying a new restaurant, hanging out at the Washington Nationals baseball park (go Nats!), or binge watching a new Netflix show. My favorite spots are Georgetown, Shenandoah National Park, or anywhere that involves spending time with my husband, family, and friends. Don't be shy - come say hello, ask questions, and let's build your dream smile together!

A message from Dr Wray~
Thank you to all of my current and former patients at Frederick Orthodontic Associates. I am honored that you have trusted me with your orthodontic care and I have truly enjoyed helping you reach your smile goals. It has been a great 5 years working together with you, my staff, and the Frederick Pediatric Dental Associates team so thank you for filling my days with lots of smiles (literally!). As of August 1, 2025 my family and I will be moving to Florida and passing your continued care on to Dr. Claire Schultz. She is a talented, energetic, caring orthodontist whom I am proud to have worked with in the past. I am confident that Dr. Schultz is going to provide a seamless transition and guide you through the remainder of your treatment. Please help me welcome her to the practice.
