01/04/2026
2025 was about getting back to the basics with our yoga practice. 2026 will be a focus on sustainability.
I’ll continue to teach the Sunday night candlelight yin & restorative at 5pm at . (Yin is amazing! 🔥)
We’ll be shifting the focus of the Thursday night 7pm class at the main studio to focus on self-care - the kind we can manage to fit into our schedules long term - small efforts that lead to big impact - allowing us to feel like our most authentic selves - mind, body, and spirit. Perfect for new students or seasoned yogis.
Expect to see an Ayurveda 101 workshop in February and a special Friday night class for Pranayama and Yoga Nidra. (More to come soon.)
For the first time in 7 years, I will not be leading or partnering for a yoga retreat. If you’re interested in a retreat for 2026 though, check out the schedule from for east coast options in grounding WV, sunny FL, or international options.
Speaking of international options, while I’m not offering or partnering for a retreat this year, be sure to get your passports ready and begin putting a little away in savings each month for 2027! I’ve started some preliminary conversations with Yogi Expeditions for an international location. ✈️ Want a hint? It was the first destination in Elizabeth Gilbert’s Eat Pray Love memoir - a book that turns 20 this year and reminds us to enjoy the journey. I’m rereading Eat Pray Love this year as a reminder of life’s journey.
I’ll be spending time in study - attending some trainings for continuing education (CEs) and am excited to see yoga teacher friends at the Mind Body Fitness Conference returning to Arlington, VA this November with .
My Big Fitness Goals (BFG) this year include a Yeti 25K (Troublesome Hollow), climbing Mt Washington on the Appalachian Trail with , the Hatfield McCoy Half Marathon in WV, and toying with the idea of a Spartan. I’ll need my yoga practice to support all of this. 🙏
I have some personal goals that have been important to me for years that I’ve only shared with a few close friends but am excited to share more widely when the time is right.
Happy New Year! Let’s Go!
