I am so very fortunate to have had the honor of spending a week in Tapachula, Chiapas with an amazing group of women eager to hone in their skills as acupuncturists. These brave souls are shakers and movers, working in their communities tirelessly to help those in need. They have not had the luxury of spending 3-4 years in school earning a masters degree yet the quality of care they provided for their patients was truly extraordinary. I often questioned my own skills as a teacher, wondering what I could possibly offer them and they met me with open hearts and open minds. Thank you for the opportunity to challenge myself in a new role as an acupuncture trainer. I learned so much on this trip and look forward to seeing you all again.

The Walk for Peace passed through Spotsylvania this afternoon. I offered moxa, an ancient herb used for warming yang energy and it was accepted by the Venerable Bhikkhu Pannakara. 🥹 I am so emotional

At long last I have a blue egg layer again! 🪺 Raven, our black Ameracuana laid her first cute lil’ egg!
Our original flock with Grantham and his girls had an easter egger Edith with blue eggs but she got snatched by a hawk. 😢

Now we’re just waiting to see what color Penny’s eggs will be. Should be any day now.
