I am so very fortunate to have had the honor of spending a week in Tapachula, Chiapas with an amazing group of women eager to hone in their skills as acupuncturists. These brave souls are shakers and movers, working in their communities tirelessly to help those in need. They have not had the luxury of spending 3-4 years in school earning a masters degree yet the quality of care they provided for their patients was truly extraordinary. I often questioned my own skills as a teacher, wondering what I could possibly offer them and they met me with open hearts and open minds. Thank you for the opportunity to challenge myself in a new role as an acupuncture trainer. I learned so much on this trip and look forward to seeing you all again.

Clinic set up in Tapachula… Global Acupuncture Project trains local medical professionals and healers acupuncture protocols to help them serve their communities.

Life in Tapachula, where the official instrument is the Marimba. Not a lot of tourism here so for those of us not great with our Spanish needed help translating. Was glad to get away from the ice and to 90 degree days!
