Aparigraha ~Letting Go~

May has unfolded itself in ways I did not entirely expect. The more I sit with it, the more I realize how often life asks us to release before we feel ready.

Not because we failed. Not because we are being punished. Something new simply needs room to enter.

We have to get out of the way of blocking our blessings.

There is grief in releasing the timelines we imagined, the expectations we carefully built, or the identities we wrapped ourselves in. Let’s not minimize or brush past the realities of being human. There is also freedom in standing in the middle of the unknown with empty hands wondering, “okay… now what?”

I think this is where many of us accidentally block our own blessings. We grip so tightly to what was, what should be, or what we thought we needed, that there is no room left for what is actually trying to arrive.

Aparigraha asks us:
What if the release is not the loss?
What if the release is the opening?

Sometimes what enters after letting go carries more alignment, more truth, and more life than what we were trying so hard to hold onto.

Trust there is an inhale that will come after the exhale.

Remember that saying about holding on to a hot coal? How the only one that feels its heat and gets burned is the one holding on???
This month we are take a closer look at the souvenirs of life we carry. Which ones can go on a shelf and which once need to be lost at sea.
Creating space to let go, surrender, release. Trusting that the voids will let light shine through brighter than ever.

Did this catch your eye?

Before we dive too deep into the subject, it is important to check in on what excites you about this potential training. It doesn’t have to be a long winded answer. Personally, when I signed up for my teacher training 12+ years ago, the only words I could put to it was “because it feels right”. That is all it took. I did not have a plan or goal of teaching people, it was just simply deeply trusting that this was the step and commitment I needed to make, even if it was just for a season. You might have a longer sentence or a meaning that you can or can’t put into words. Sit with that for a moment, before you keep reading, because the rest is nitty gritty deals and your why will be what either talks you in or out of this experience. I can promise from my side of things, this will be life changing, but it is up to you what life you are going to pursue even in the unknown.

Details:
This training is designed to be intimate with a high level of mentorship, attention, feedback, and support. Minimum of 4 and maximum of 8 people in this training. The small group container will move beyond just learning how to teach yoga and into a deeper understanding of the practice on and off your mat as a whole. It is as much about your personal growth and connection to self as it is about finding your voice as a teacher.
