🌿 A Message to Our Community

After more than 31 years of serving our region, the Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic has closed its doors due to insufficient funding.

We are heartbroken by this difficult reality, but incredibly proud of the care our dedicated staff and volunteers have provided over the decades. Together, we have improved—and in many cases, saved—thousands of lives.

We are deeply grateful to our patients, supporters, donors, healthcare partners, and community members who made this work possible.

The need for accessible healthcare has not gone away. As we reflect on our legacy, we hope that others will step forward to meet the ongoing needs of our neighbors who face barriers to care.

Thank you for trusting us and walking this journey with us.

With gratitude,
The Board of Directors
Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic

Founded in 1993, the Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to serving low-income adults in Fredericksburg, Virginia and the surrounding Counties. Every year, the Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic provides over 10,000 medical and dental visits to hundreds of patients. This level of care is made possible thanks to the time and talent of more than 500 volunteers, including 130+ providers (physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, dentists, pharmacists, counselors, etc.) who donate nearly 20,000 hours of their time every year.

In addition, donors (individuals, foundations, corporations, etc.) and various institutional (e.g., hospitals, medical schools, universities/graduate programs) and community partners recognize the critical role that the Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic is playing in the health of those in our community who would otherwise go without the care they desperately need.

The Clinic’s mission is to improve the health and wellness of low-income, under-served people through quality health care delivered in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.
