We want to send a heartfelt thank you to our amazing patients and team members across Maryland. Your generosity helped fill the trunk and back seat of an SUV with boxes and bags of non-perishable food for families who are facing food insecurity this Thanksgiving.

Today, Sarah, our Patient Experience Coach, delivered your donations to the Maryland Food Bank -- and while we didn’t get a photo of the drop-off, these snapshots show just a portion of what you helped provide. It’s hard to put into words the impact you’ve made, but know this: your kindness will reach families across our communities who need it most right now.

At Live Better Hearing + Balance, helping people live better has always meant more than hearing health — it’s about caring for the communities we serve.

With many families facing reduced food assistance during the government shutdown, our clinics are collecting non-perishable food donations this November to help ensure no one goes without a Thanksgiving meal.

If you have an upcoming appointment — or would like to stop by a clinic near you — we’re accepting donations through November 21.

All contributions will support local organizations in our communities, including:

👂✨ Everyone deserves the gift of hearing.

Our CEO, Dr. Ross Cushing, was recently featured in Forbes discussing options for seniors to access free or affordable hearing aids. As he shared:

“Hearing loss is such a common chronic condition affecting older adults, but there are still many people who simply can’t afford them. Hearing aids aren’t covered by Medicare, and so some seniors who may not have the means to purchase prescription hearing aids, think they have to go without the hearing care they need, which can seriously impact their quality of life.”

Through our Live Better Foundation, we’ve been able to provide hearing aids and hearing health care at little or no cost to those in need across Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New Jersey.

We’ll continue working toward a future where cost is never a barrier to hearing the sounds that matter most.
