I’VE GOT A DEEP FASCINATION WITH CANCER 🦠💊
The word alone makes most of us feel a sense of a deep pit in our stomach, a sense of sadness, fear, grief, or anger.
But the fascination stems from the fact that cancer cells are ours. How did we become scared of us?
Not some alien cells from outside us or something we caught.
But our very own cells misbehaving .
Cells that stop responding properly, cells that go against the grain, and march to the beat of their own drum .
Why?
Why will 1 in 3 of us get a diagnosis? What makes our own cells start acting out of line and most importantly how do we nourish our body, mind, and spirit for the best chance of prevention ?
Why does heart disease kill more people in the United States and yet… the word cancer causes us to have a visceral reaction, to hold our breath for the test results?
To me, understanding how cancer works is freeing. It’s an invitation to unravel the web and do life differently. An invitation for our greatest success at not only preventing cancer but living a life with the least amount of chronic disease.
Understanding WHY cancer happens is the invitation to healing. There are numerous stories of spontaneous remission, cancer just going away without explanation - our body healing itself …and yet those words and hope are never discussed within doctor’s walls.
The body is capable of more than we will ever know ✨
And while nothing is guaranteed in life and terrible things happen to good people for what seems like no rhyme or reason - we stack the deck in our favor and give it our best chance in this lifetime.

She is passionate about teaching yoga in our community, because she believes in the transformative power of yoga to build strength, increase flexibility, and cultivate a deeper connection to oneself, both on and off the mat.
