We are a premier Assisted Living and Independent Living community located in Fredericksburg, VA We are about an hour south Washington, D. C.

Chancellor's Village is a vibrant retirement community situated on 15 acres in Fredericksburg, Virginia. and about an hour north of Richmond, VA. We are just two miles from the I-95 Exit 130 West. We offer both Independent and Assisted Living options. Our community is small enough to feel like home but large enough to offer nice amenities, wonderful dining and activities, too.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of enjoying tea with one of our Founding Fathers, James Madison, at his birthplace Belle Grove Plantation at Port Conway. It was certainly a historical experience that was enjoyed by all! The food and tea, as always, were fantastic! ☕️🫖🧁🇺🇸

Who knew Lemonades and Prosecco went together? Residents had the opportunity to pair eight different wines to nine Girl Scout Cookies! We learned about the art of wine pairing and that Do-Si-Dos with Merlot tastes like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! 🍷🍪

Residents celebrated by dressing head to toe in green, singing Irish songs, and answering trivia questions about the day! ☘️🇮🇪

Our second Barn Quilt Workshop started last week and everyone is hard at work creating beautiful patterns! We look forward to seeing them on display as part of our Barn Quilt trail within the community. 🎨

In honor of Lunar New Year, our residents got to watch and enjoy a performance by the Richmond Chinese Dance & Choir Club! They shared traditional music and dances with us to ring in the Year of the Horse! 🐴🎉

Today, we had our very own resident give a presentation on the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race in Alaska! Vyvyan, who used to live in Alaska, taught us all about the history of the race, how the race operates, and even created her own sled set-up to show us! 🐺🛷

It’s Mardi Gras! 🎉🎺

Our residents had a blast as we celebrated in true Mardi Gras fashion with King Cakes, beads, and music by Zachary Smith and the Mardi Gras Kings! 💜💚💛

Our new in-house therapy provider, FOX Rehabilitation, hosted their first Brain Games event! 🧠 Residents competed in a series of memory-based brain teasers to see who was as sly as a FOX! 🦊

Chancellor’s Village has had the privilege of partnering with Drum Party to bring our residents joy through rhythmic healing! 🥁🎵 Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday, we play along to our favorite songs with a variety of different instruments from drums to tambourines! We also got to drum along to Christmas/Holiday music on Christmas Eve!
