💙 Human Trafficking Awareness Day 💙
Human trafficking is a global tragedy that affects people of all genders, ages, and backgrounds. No one is immune. Traffickers exploit their victims through various means, often preying on vulnerability, addiction, and desperation.
The connection between drug addiction and trafficking is undeniable. Addiction is frequently used as a tool to control and manipulate victims, trapping them in cycles of exploitation. At Zoe Freedom Center, we are committed to breaking these chains by offering freedom, hope, and healing to those struggling with addiction.
The reality is heartbreaking:
- Women and girls make up the majority of trafficking victims, often exploited for sexual purposes and subjected to extreme violence.
- Men and boys account for a growing percentage, trafficked primarily for forced labor.
- Children now represent 35% of all identified trafficking victims—a threefold increase in the last 15 years.
This Human Trafficking Awareness Day, we stand in solidarity with survivors and commit to spreading awareness. Together, we can fight this epidemic, offer freedom from addiction, and restore lives through the hope of Jesus Christ.
