As I sit here and reflect back to the last couple months following and learning new ways to be ME who I truly am. Living in the moment..being hospitalized for influenza A (blood pressure 80/50 and oxygen 85) I did not think about much except everything will be fine..4 days later back in hospital oxygen dropped to 80 not being able to breath with double pneumonia and respiratory failure was one of the most frightening times in my life. As I sit in the hospital bed my mind raced all over the place the past the future my husband my kids my grandkids what if I was telling myself. I stopped and remembered one big thing..breath be in the moment focus on this moment I sat there closed my eyes and the monkeys slowly disappeared..the 4 days I spent this is all I did stayed present stayed focus on healing. It was and has been one of the most profound moments in my entire life. So when things getting chaotic I stopped and think about that moment in the hospital when the monks help me through the most scariest times in my life. There are no words I can express for my sincere gratitude and blessings they laid upon me.
Thank you my dear friends and teachers you saved my life ❤️

🙏 A Sacred Vow Under the Rain — Day 112 (Feb 14, 2026)
Yesterday, our Day 112, marked a homecoming that will be remembered forever. As the rain began to fall over Hương Đạo Vipassana Bhavana Center, our hearts overflowed with gratitude to see thousands of people still standing there, waiting with such patience and love to welcome the venerable monks home.

Seeing the community standing in the wet and cold, Venerable Bhikkhu Pannakara chose to leave the dry shelter of the temple roof. He walked out into the falling rain to stand right in front of everyone—heart to heart, drenched together—to share these sacred words:

"I promise you all that whenever it is, you will be able to walk on this path, I will walk with you all, and together we will walk on this path. If you don't leave me, I will not leave you.

That is my vow in front of you all. I make that vow in front of the Maha Sangha, the monks community. I make this vow in front of you. If you do not leave me, I will not leave you.

We are as a family who walk together, who love each other, care for each other, to make a difference. Thank you so much, everyone. May you all be well, be happy and be peaceful."

Deepest thanks go to every single person who stayed. Despite the rain, no one turned away. Our collective presence was the greatest gift, and that shared devotion gave strength to this promise. By walking out to join everyone, Venerable Bhikkhu Pannakara showed that we are truly one family—that we will look after one another and walk this path together, through every storm and every sunshine.

This is not just a promise for a day; it is a vow for a lifetime. The rain blessed this moment, the community gave it life, and now we move forward together, forever bound by this love.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏✨

Here is Ven. Pannakara’s closing prayer today at the Lincoln Memorial:
May every nation live in safety, stability and dignity free from fear, chaos and unnecessary suffering.
May every person be heard, respected and protected regardless of race, their background, faith or the language that they speak.
May fear be replaced by understanding and may misunderstanding never again become a reason for violence.
May hatred be transformed into compassion so pain is met with care instead of blame.
May peace exist not only in words and speeches but in laws, policies, communities and daily life.
May true strength be measured not by control, force or weapons, but by how we protect one another, especially our children and the vulnerable.
May progress always walk together with morality and may growth never be built on human suffering.
May dialogue be chosen over confrontation and listening over judgment in families, societies and nations.
May people find peace within their own hearts so that the world no longer needs violence to survive.
May the path to peace require no enemies, but only human beings returning to morality, to responsibility and to one another.
Last but not least, remember every morning to write down what we’ve talked about.....”Today is going to be my peaceful day.”
A prayer for the ages. Feel free to repost. and disseminate!
