Start your week with stillness.

It’s easy to rush from the weekend straight into Monday’s to-do list. Emails, responsibilities, expectations. Before long, the pace of the week can leave us feeling overwhelmed and dysregulated.

Take a moment to slow down.
Breathe.
Be present.

The past is behind us and the future hasn’t arrived yet. This moment is what we have.

With everything happening in the world, it’s a gentle reminder to pause, be still, and focus on what truly matters.

A quiet start can shape the entire week. 💚

Did you know your mood can be influenced by your micronutrients?

Mental health treatment often focuses on therapy and medication. But nutrition also plays an important role in how the brain functions.

I often see clients assume fatigue, brain fog, irritability, or poor focus are purely stress-related. Sometimes they are. But sometimes nutritional factors may also be contributing.

Certain micronutrients help support neurotransmitters, energy levels, and overall brain health.

Nutrition alone doesn’t replace therapy or medication when needed. But it can be an important part of a well-rounded approach to wellness and a reminder that mental health is connected to the whole body.

If you’re experiencing symptoms, talk with your healthcare provider about whether testing for nutrient deficiencies might be helpful before starting supplements.

Over a year ago, I had the opportunity to speak on The Live Healthy With Laura Podcast about the intersection of faith and mental health.

We discussed the internal tension many believers feel when navigating anxiety, depression, or medication. The quiet struggle that often stays hidden behind strength, service, and “I’m fine.”

There are still people who pray, serve, and show up for others… yet quietly wrestle with whether seeking support means something is wrong with them.

Part of that conversation centered on something I deeply believe: faith and mental health treatment can coexist.

There’s still a need for support, education, and honest dialogue within faith communities.

By this time in the year, most resolutions start to fade.

Not because people don’t care or lack discipline, but because motivation alone doesn’t address deeper patterns.

Willpower isn’t always enough to address what’s underneath.

If anxiety, burnout, low mood, or chronic stress have been present for a while, pushing through another year without addressing them rarely changes the outcome.

“I’ll deal with it later” has a way of repeating itself.

Support doesn’t always mean something extreme.
It can look like structured care, medication management, therapy, or intentional changes that are actually sustainable.

If you’ve known something hasn’t felt right for a while, this is simply a reminder that you don’t have to ignore it.

The holidays can be joyful and meaningful, but they can also be busy and overwhelming. Between events, travel, and changes in routine, the habits that support our mental health are often the first to slip.

This is also when it becomes even more important to lean into the basics. Medication can make a real difference, and it works best when daily habits support it. Regular meals help keep energy and mood more steady. Staying hydrated supports overall brain health. Consistent sleep gives your brain the reset it needs. Gentle movement and simple stress-reducing practices help support a more balanced nervous system. Taking medication consistently helps it do what it’s meant to do. 🌿

You don’t have to do everything perfectly. Even small, steady habits can help you feel more grounded and supported as you move through the season. ✨

Some days, what people need most isn’t advice… it’s presence.
A safe space.
A moment to breathe.
A reminder that they don’t have to carry everything alone.

Everyone deserves that kind of care.

Start your week with gratitude. 🌿

When we pause to focus on what’s going right, it shifts our entire perspective. Gratitude helps release feel-good chemicals like dopamine and serotonin, calming anxiety, lifting low mood, and reminding us that things have worked out before…and they will again.

Even when everything isn’t perfect, gratitude changes the lens you see your situation through. It gets your eyes off what’s not working and helps you see the doors already opening for you. 💫

Take a breath, name three things you’re grateful for today, and carry that peace with you into the week ahead. 💚

☕ National Coffee Day
A few weekends ago I spent time with a group of like-minded women and left feeling truly refreshed. It reminded me how important it is to pause and fill my own cup—mind, body, and spirit.

Today, as you sip your coffee, I invite you to do the same. Think about what nourishes you, what brings you joy, and what helps you feel whole. Your cup deserves to be full. 💛

How will you fill your cup today? Share in the comments!
