For all my friends who live in or visit our historic little city, consider supporting our effort to support sensible growth. Yoga with Mary Richards has worked us hard during the first 5 months of the year, especially Reuben. It's now time for her to share the many benefits of a restorative yoga practice to relieve us from the heat from our environment as well as our tired and achy muscles. Think supported inversions and back extensions.

I look forward to hosting this final asana lab of the series!

I made this drawing for Yoga with Mary Richards book, Teach People, Not Poses. Then Mary used this pose as a starting point in her January Asana Lab workshop: Glutes to the Max, adding clamshells with the top leg to challenge our core stability. For more challenge, tie an elastic band above the knees - oh boy!

Our Yoga Studio

We opened our studio in January, 2014 in a one-studio teaching space. As soon as our lease was up we were able to expand our footprint to 2 studios and are so happy we did! The studios are clean and bright, the students are kind and friendly. Our classes are taught by a talented group of yoga teachers who infuse their classes with their unique life experiences, hard earned skills and nurtured talents. We all share the same desire to teach with concentration on breath and alignment with an inner awareness so that all students may gain the balance they need from their own, individual practice.

It is our sincere hope that everyone who tries yoga with us has a well-rounded and enjoyable learning experience. We invite you to work at your own pace while fostering patience and curiosity with your asana and yourself. This is a non-competitive environment in which to explore new possibilities and maybe put a smile on your face and a spring in your step.

We think you'll feel better than when you came in!
