Hearing Loss Association of America- Rappahannock Club The Hearing Loss Association of America, Rappahannock Club was founded in May of 1990. We offer workshops and training with questions and answers to follow.

This group is for members of the community who are deaf or hard of hearing along with their family and friends (everyone). Meetings take place at the disAbility Resource Center (dRC) 409 Progress St in Fredericksburg, VA. They are held on the last Monday of the month from 11am to 1pm. The meetings are hybrid. You can come in person or Zoom in. For Zoom info, please email DDrew@cildrc.org. or JUDYL7271@VERIZON.NET

We have a program, Giving Back Sound, where we accept donations and recycle hearing aids for those who can't afford them. Our club does not charge for attending meetings. The public is always welcome. Please notify us 10 working days in advance of the meeting if you need special accommodations.

With nearly 25 years in the transportation industry and national certifications in travel training and transportation safety, TaMara is passionate about helping people connect with FXBGO (Fredericksburg Regional Transit) and other available transportation services.

She’ll share practical tips on how you can access public transit and explore transportation options in our region — whether you’re new to riding the bus, need a refresher, or just want to learn about what’s available.

A big THANK YOU to Sr. Deputy B. Marini from the King George County Sheriff’s Office for presenting to our HLAA group last week! 👏

Deputy Marini shared valuable information on the Top Ten Frauds & Scams in Virginia and provided important tips on how to recognize and avoid these threats. She also introduced us to the King George TRIAD program, which focuses on enhancing the safety and well-being of older adults in our community.
