Clara Lemarr Foundation

Clara Lemarr Foundation To spread awareness Ehler's Danlos syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Syncope, and Mast Cell Activation to educate and fight for a cure for the "Zebra" disease.

We work with families on school plans that help our Zebra Children. We are officially approved by the IRS as a 501(c)3 non-for-profit organization. The organization was founded because the founder Clara Lemarr was diagnosed with Ehler's-Danlos Syndrome and she wanted an avenue available to help other people navigate through this disorder. It's a difficult road, and there are not many options. There is not much research being done and the disease is not well known. We need to change this so that children diagnosed have more options than just "palliative care". They deserve the option of finding a cure. The collagen in their body is not produced correctly, its a genetic disorder and EDS literally affects every system throughout their bodies.

Congrats William!

We are so proud of you for battling through the battle to make your dreams come true.

C2C DRAFT ALERT I William Lemarr

We are excited to introduce William Lemarr, an elite skating defender playing out of Owatonna, MN from the Minnesota Made Under Armor AA team and the Owatonna Huskies Association team.

Will's advanced skating skills and speed, mixed with his high hockey IQ make him a beast as a defense player protecting his goalie and turning the puck around for his team make him an asset to his team.

Will is 12 years old and shoots left.

His work and dedication over the last few years have raised him to higher levels on and off the ice. When he is not on the ice with his team, he is often found practicing drills in his driveway on rollerblades or working towards crushing the summer shot challenge numbers with an impressive 40,000+ shots. You will never see Will without a hockey stick nearby.

This drive helped him to be one of the top defense scorers for his group for the season on his association team and was the overall top Summer Shot Challenge winner with an impressive 43,000+ practice shots over the summer. He will continue to grow and impress those around him.

Congratulations and welcome aboard, Will!

Hey fellow EDSers-does anyone have a EDS/POTS Dr that they trust in the Boston area? We know of a newly diagnosed individual that’s looking for Drs for help in that area.

Thanks!

Update: Docs are trying to figure out what is happening, but as of now there’s no update. Please pray for this young lady and her family. This is a tough situation to be in, and the illnesses these kids suffer with because of EDS, POTS, MCAS, it just is heart wrenching. Please keep praying.

Please prayer warriors: We just found out that one of our Zebra Camp Alumni suffered a brain injury and is in a coma. Please prayer for her and her family at this time.

We currently have a situation where one of our Zebra family members has been diagnosed with Addison’s disease, which is a rare adrenal insufficiency disease. Do any of our other Zebras have this disease and do you have any suggestions on how to manage it?
