Ascent Therapy Group is excited to announce that owner, Mindy Eckert, has earned her SSOL Schroth Certification for the management and treatment of scoliosis.

Physiotherapeutic Scoliosis Specific Exercises (PSSE) are highly individualized, research-informed treatment approaches designed specifically for people with scoliosis. They can be used with or without bracing, and before or after surgery, to help improve outcomes and overall quality of life.

Unlike traditional physical therapy, PSSE focuses on 3D correction—addressing posture, spinal alignment, and breathing patterns in all three planes of the body. The goal is to help slow curve progression, reduce pain, and improve function. Every program is customized to the patient’s unique curve type and body mechanics, and in some cases, may even help improve spinal alignment.

Mindy has over 12 years of experience in orthopedics, pain management, and spine care. This advanced certification allows her to better serve and advocate for individuals living with scoliosis—helping them build the skills and confidence needed to manage their condition long-term.

💗 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💗

This month holds special meaning for us. Our team members, Pamela Meyer (Occupational Therapist) and Destiny Perry (Office Manager), are honoring the memory of their mothers, Barbara Meyer and Devon Vela, who both lost their battle with breast cancer.

Pamela has dedicated her career to helping others through their journey. She is certified in Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and works closely with women in our community to recover from lymphatic issues and other challenges caused by breast cancer treatment.

We stand with all those who have been affected by breast cancer — survivors, fighters, and families who carry the memory of their loved ones. 💕
