Two new outbuildings are rising on the ridge—each designed to elevate your stay.

A hand-crafted, 20-person practice space with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the forest and mountains.

🌿 Wellness Hut
Our new massage + bodywork room, complete with a built-in sleeper to host your private chef, wellness practitioner, or on-site Tethys team member.

The mountain is expanding… and we can’t wait to share what’s coming. Stay tuned!

A mountain-top retreat floating above the Blue Ridge — where sky, history, and nature meet.

Perched on a rare flat summit with fresh spring water and sweeping valley views, Tethys has always been a place of refuge. Once a working farm, now a quiet cloud-ship above the world below, it carries forward a legacy of calm, creativity, and connection.

Built in 1977, the home was designed to embrace the land — slow mornings wrapped in sunlight, nights by the fire, and days spent watching the clouds pool in the valleys like drifting islands.

Named after the Titan Tethys, mother of river gods and flowing waters, the spirit of this place has always been movement, depth, and peace. Every deck, every path, every hand-planted garden still carries the touch of the people who loved it before us.

We’re honored to continue that story — and to invite you into it.
