With their permission to respond here as a teaching opportunity and to share my perspectiveā¦.
Sirius is in Cancer, not Leo. Itās a fixed star that doesnāt move and never leaves the constellation of Cancer. I have no doubt of the connection between Sirius and Egypt - but that has nothing to do with August 8th or Leo Season. People are using numerology saying itās an 8/8 day. A calendar system that isnāt designed based upon any sense of divination. A calendar system that was probably meant to control and create confusion around time. A new day starts at night when most are asleep. A new year starts in the winter when everything is dead.
Sirius B, a dwarf star that is about as significant as Jack Skellingtonās ghost Dog Zero, is often referred to as the star the Sun is interacting with on 8/8. Not the star the Egyptians followed - Sirius A.
Itās not any more significant than the Sun aspecting any of the other countless fixed stars throughout the year.
Bottom line: New age Spirituality has false plants everywhere. Creating new traditions to celebrate can be awesome, but if itās based on a false premise to begin with, that can easily become another socially engineered way of normalizing ignorance is bliss. Moral of the story: just because people in positions of āLeadershipā says a thing a thing doesnāt make it true. Sound familiar? This is why itās beneficial to do our own research, logically and intuitively - a big lesson from the last 5 years. If you still want to participate in the group fun of the Lionās gate - I truly hope you enjoy yourself and especially in the experience of community. Go into it knowing itās a Hallmark Spiritual Holiday, keep your vibe up authentically, and connect. Just consider that metaphorically listening to a fun Pop song that is catchy without paying attention to the value of lyrics is part of the excitement trap that teaches the brain to stop searching for personal truth. Donāt fall for the Pluto in Aquarius group think. Itās Leo Season, find a way to stand out that is real š«
