Learn how to infuse your practice with the vitality of Acupressure! Acupressure, derived from the ancient system of Chinese Medicine which gave us acupuncture, has been called “acupuncture without needles.” Chinese Medicine utilizes a broad range of modalities and tools to help people attain physical, emotional, and spiritual health and well-being. This series of classes will present students with a basic working knowledge of the theory and practice of Chinese Medicine using the most basic and powerful of those tools: the fingers. Acupressure can be used to treat many common health issues such as emotional stress, digestive issues, cardiovascular disorders, and fatigue. Because such issues are frequently the root cause of muscular tension and pain, integrating acupressure into bodywork sessions can result in a dramatic improvement in therapeutic results.

Comfort, Safety and Relief. Here are the safety precautions shown in each photo:

1st: Air purified with all-in-one Hepa filter, UV cleaner & ionizer. Spacious 500 sq. ft. treatment space with cathedral ceiling and two windows. Air is sucked out of the large window between clients with a reversed fan.

2nd: Shoes are removed before entering. All clothing including coats and other possessions are put in the covered bin. There are hand sanitizer stations throughout the building.

3rd: The tray holds new PPE, including my bottom up face shield which attaches at my neck so any exhalations that makes it through my tightened surgical mask goes up not down. Temperatures are taken with this contactless thermometer before entering the building. All potentially-touched surfaces are sanitized before, between and after clients with EPA List N sanitizers approved for use with Covid-19.

4th: Chairs are plastic and sanitizable, except the upholstered chair covered with a sheet.

5th: Clients call from their cars for the intake discussion. They answer the Covid-19 screening questions and we discuss any changes to their health history and about their goals for the session.
