This is s time devoted to counting one’s blessings, giving thanks for the bounty in your life and sharing the fruits of the harvest with friends and family. It’s also a time to look inside and cull the old, stagnant energies and release what no longer feeds the soul. Let the seasonal energies of bounty and the Full Moon offer clarity of vision as you look into the shadowy regions of your being in order to open and receive Gaia’s opulent blessings. Please join us as we send light to all life and to the Earth herself, May Gaia receive this outpouring of gentle energy and return to a state of balance. I ask Mother Gaia and the Ancient Creator to hear our prayers. May everyone in harms way find shelter. May the waters rise less and the winds soften. Tomorrow marks the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. In the Gaelic tradition this is known as St Brigid’s Day or The festival of Imbolc, the time of quickening and new life. We light candles tonight honoring the endurance of the human spirit as it awaits the return of green fields laden with wild flowers and the promise of sunny days. We mark the significance of the day under a blanket of snow listening for the sounds of awakening; the hum of creation. Dragon Star Reiki begins.

Christmas traditions can awaken long forgotten memories and feelings, from baking sugar cookies for Santa to the annual search for hidden gifts. In our home we always had a supper of New England corn chowder and grilled cheese sandwiches before we began the big event of selecting and decorating the tree - yes we did it all on Christmas Eve. I think back on all those wonderful nights in awe of how our mother made it appear so effortless; she was a marvel. While we slept she wrapped and decorated through the night, turning our home into a winter wonderland. We shared in the joy of everyone’s excitement around the tree and played games after dinner as a family. We are so grateful to have these memories and traditions to share. May you create your own holiday customs and rituals as you make memories that fill your heart and uplift your spirit for years to come. We send comfort and joy to All. Every Full Moon is a gift we can use to redirect our energies towards renewal and rebirth, to cast-off all that no longer serves our highest good. Tonight we are blessed by Selene and her Harvest Full Moon. It is a time of gratitude to Gaia for her bounty which will sustain us through the long winter months.

This Full Moon however, I’d like to shift focus and look at the flip side of letting go - to look into the newly formed empty space within, created from the divestment of that stagnant energy and focus on the sensation and experience of fullness; there is untold potential in this space. When we allow ourselves the gift of release from our encumbrances and the mindset that keeps abundance and heartfelt joy at bay; we give ourselves permission to see through a clean lens and perhaps discover a new way of being - viewing the world in wholeness, gratitude and joy. May Joy and Light illuminate your path. We begin Planetary Reiki beaming joy to all.
