Aromatherapy DIY Foaming Hand Soap
When washing hands became more of the norm I started making my own Foaming Hand Soap with essential oils because they kill germs, improve your mood, make your bathroom or sink area smell clean and fresh and do not have chemicals. There are dozens of essential oils that are perfect for this use.
The basic formula is to use 1 Tablespoon of Fractionated Coconut Oil, 1 Tablespoon of Dr. Bronner's Soap in your favorite scent (mine is Rose, but Peppermint is very refreshing as well; it is your choice) and distilled water or witch hazel if you like. Some people use glycerin, but you only need 1/2 teaspoon; it helps keep everything in suspension.
Here are some of my favorite essential oil blends for liquid soap:
Eucalyptus, Lemon, and Peppermint
This is very clean and disinfecting and kills athletes foot fungus. Think about this when you want a great blend for your office, spa, or school.
Bergamot, Ylang Ylang and Orange
The citrus oils help calm the mood. If you have a busy office or healthcare practice this will keep everyone mellow and they won't even know they're receiving a calming scent. Not too floral either.
Peppermint and Lavender
While each of these oils could be used separately by themselves, together they offer a light refreshing scent. BTW together these oils are powerful pain killers. Refreshing to stay cool in the summer, too. Just wash your arms from the shoulders (and pits) to the fingertips and dry off. You will stay cool for hours! Especially helpful if you do a lot of gardening (like I do; weeds never stop lol).
I only use Young Living Essential Oils and trust them to be pure unadulterated and powerful beyond belief. If you want more information please DM me. Blessings and happy oiling Y'all!
